Ross 7x30
| Das "Stepif" aus den 1930ern ist ein 7x30 Porro-1-Monokular von Ross. Es hat einfach verschraubte, schwarz lackierte Messingdeckel, wobei der obere mit "ROSS, LONDON No 108731 POWER = 7" und dem Modellnamen beschriftet ist. Die Trageriemnöse ist im mit strukturiertem Hartgummi ummantelten Aluminiumgehäuse eingegossen. Das rechtsseitige Okular hat eine umlaufende Dioptrienskala und eine flache Kunststoffaugenmuschel. Das Objektiv hat eine Verblendungshülse über der Fassung; es kann mit einem Exenterring justiert werden. Die Bauform des "Stepif" wirkt gedrungen (vgl. Zeiss Telfortmo oder "Kershaw 6x30 wide angle"). | The "Stepif" dates form the 1930s and is a 7x30 porro 1 monocular made by Ross. It has black painted brass covers with one screw. The top cover is marked "ROSS, LONDON No 108731 POWER = 7" plus the model name. The strap lug ist cast into the aluminium housing which is covered with a textured ebonite. The right-hand sided eyepiece has a full dioptre scale and a flat plastic eyecup. The objective frame is covered with a screwed-on tube; the objective lens can be adjusted with an excenter ring. The design of the "Stepif" looks sort of plump (cf. Zeiss Telfortmo) or Kershaw 6x30 wide angle. |
