Carl Zeiss Jena 8x (Simplact)
| Dies ist ein 8x24 Monokular, welches wahrscheinlich mit der Modellbezeichnung "Simplact" (Nachfolger des ersten 8x20 Simplact) und der Kennzeichnung "8x" herauskam. Die eingravierte Seriennummer 183615 weist auf eine Produktion in 1909/10 hin. Das 8x24 hat schwarz lackierte Messingdeckel mit dreifacher Verschraubung. Auch der Objektivtubus und das Okularteil sind aus Messing. Die Augenmuschel ist aus Bakelit. Die komplett um das Okular laufende Dioptrienskala ist von +5 bis -5 markiert. Das Alugehäuse mit Trageschlaufenöse ist mit einem braunen Leder umhüllt. Das Glas war offensichtlich in Besitz eines englischen Offiziers, dessen Namen am unteren Deckel eingraviert ist: "J. L. Wood". Der Objektivtubus ist an einer Seite nahe des Gehäsues mit einer Nummer markiert, die ich jedoch nicht entziffern kann (s. 4. Foto). |
Thios is a 8x24 monocular, assumingly issued with the model name "Simplact" (successor to the first 8x20 Simplact) and marked "8x". The engraved serial number 183615 hints to a production date of 1909/10. The 8x24 has black lacquered brass covers with three screws. The objective frame and the eyepiece are also made of brass. The eye-cup is made of Bakelite. The dioptre scale runs completely around the ocular and is marked from +5 to -5. The aluminium body with its strap lug is covered with brown leather. Obiously the glass was owned by a British officer who engraved his name in the bottom cover: "J. L. Wood". The objective tube is marked with anumber at one side near the body. I cannot decipher the numbers there (s. 4th photo). |
