Halbes Zeiss Dekar 10x50

Bei dem vorliegenden Monokular handelt es sich um den linken Teil eines Carl Zeiss "Dekar 10x50" Fernglases. Die Ansatzstellen der Brücke sind noch zu sehen. Der obere Deckel trägt das Linsenlogo mit der Modellinschrift und darunter die Seriennummer "970898" und stammt somit von ca. 1918. Das Dekar hat ein Abbe-König Prismensystem (s. Dialyte: Hensoldt Prismensysteme) und erreicht so eine gerade Bauform. Das Prismensystem lässt sich auf einem Träger (s. Foto) von oben entnehmen. Das Prismengehäuse ist unten geschlossen. Außerdem hat das Dekar eine herausziehbare Sonnenschutzblende von 45mm Länge.

Half Zeiss Dekar 10x50

This monocular is the left half of a Zeiess 10x50 Dekar binocular. The bridge stumps are still visible. The top cover is marked with the lens logo and the model name 'Dekar 10x50' within; below is S/N 970898. so the glass dates from around 1918. The Dekar has an Abbe-Koenig prism system (s. Dialyte: Hensoldt prism system) and thus could be built in a straight tube from. The prism system can be pulled out on a prism mount from the top when the cover is removed. THe prism housing is closed, i.e. has no screwed on cover at its bottom. Also, the Dekar has an extendable sun-shade of 45mm length.

Die umlaufende Dioptriesskala ist von + bis -5 markiert. die Augenmuschel ist aus Kunststoff. Das Glas ist zwischen 25,5 und 26,5cm lang je nach Fokussierung. Der Deckel ist schwarz lackiert, die Gehäuse- und Tubusteile haben eine braune Lederummantelung. Der konische Objektivtubus ist 14cm lang (ohne Sonnenblende) und misst am Anfang 40mm, bei der Sonnenblende 60mm im Durchmesser. Das Prismengehäuse ist 62mm hoch und 50mm im Durchmesser, das Okular hat einen Durchmesser von 30mm. Es wiegt 582g.

The dioptre scale runs around the black painted ocular, and is marked from + to - 5. The eyecup is made of plastic. Depending on focussing the glass measures 25.5cm to 26.5cm in length. The cover is lacquered black, the body and tube parts have brown leather coverings. The conical objective tube is 14cm long (without extended sun-shade), and it has a diameter of 40mm at its start and 60mm at the sun-shade end. The prism housing is 62mm tall and 50mm in diameter. The ocular measures 30mm in diameter. THe half Dekar weighs 582g.
