Weimar 7x40

Foto-Monokular Das Weimar 7x40 Foto-Monokular ist mehr oder weniger identisch zum Accura 7x40. Auch hier hat das mit Hartgummi ummantelte Gehäuse hat eine eher eckige Form mit einem Stativadapter, in den eine Trageschlaufe eingwschraubt ist. Die Aludeckel sind matt blank und nicht verschraubt. Der obere Deckel ist mit "Weimar TO 74" in einem Achromat-Logo sowie "7x40 9.5° No. 64506" graviert. "TO" könnte für "Tokyo Optical" stehen (oder s. auch Objektivbeschriftung). Das Metall- Okularstück dient in der herausgedrehten Stellung als Augenmuschel für den Monokulargebrauch, ganz hereingedreht gibt es das 33mm Gewinde zm Anschrauben in das Kameraobjektiv frei. Das Objektiv ist innen auf dem Befestigungsring mit "Weimar Tele-Mono Tsuchiba Kogaku - Made in Japan" (Kogaku = Werk) beschriftet. Das Monokular hat Porro-1-Prismen und ist blau vergütet.

Telephoto Monocular The Weimar 7x40 is a photo monocular which is almost identical to the Accura 7x40. The housing which is covered with a textured Ebonite has a rather rectangular shape with a tripod thread. There is a hand strap screwed into the tripod thread. The matte blank aluminium covers have no screws. The top cover is marked "Weimar TO 74" within an achromat lens logo. Below it is engraved "7x40 9.5° No. 64506". "TO" might stand for Tokyo Opitcal or the company named on the obejctive ring (see below). The rotating metal eyepiece functions as an eyecup for a monocular when extended to the maximum, and when screwed in it uncovers a 33mm thread for camera attachment. The objective lens retainer ring is inscribed "Weimar Tele-Mono Tsuchiba Kogaku - Made in Japan" (Kogaku = works). The monocular has porro 1 prisms and is coated blue.

Durch Drehen des Objektivtubuses wird das Monokular fokussiert. Dieser hat Meterangaben von 2.6 bis 50 und unendlich. Das 7x40 ist 135 bis 148mm lang und wiegt 519g. Der Okulartubus ist 38mm, der Drehring 43mm, der Objektivtubus 47mm und der Fokussierungsring 53mm im Durchmesser. Die Maße des Gehäuses sind: HxBxT 67x81x58mm.

Focusing is done by turning the objective tube. It is marked in metres from 2.6 to 50 or infinity respectively. The 7x40 is 135mm to 148mm long. It weigs 519g. The eyepiece is 38mm, the grooved ring 43mm, the objective tube 47mm, and the focusing part 53mm in diameter. The housing measures 67x81x58mm.
