Optische Werke AG Cassel "Argus" 10x20

Das 10x20 Porro-II-Modell mit Namen "Argus" von Carl Schütz hat eine dreieckige Deckelform mit aberundeten Ecken, eine kleine angschraubte Trageriemenöse und einen geraden 35mm langen Objektivtubus ähnlich dem "Autokrat" 10x-Modell. Der obere Deckel ist jeweils in einer Zeile mit "10x", "Autokrat", "Carl Schütz Co Cassel" und "Patent" beschriftet. Die Schreibweise von Kassel mit C weist auf eine Produktion vor 1926 hin. Die Aluminium-Deckel liegen flach auf dem Gehäuserand auf und sind nicht verschraubt. Der Objektivtubus und das Okularstück sind aus schwarz lackiertem Messing, der Tubus mit Hartgummi ummantelt. Das Gehäuse hat eine Lederimitatummantelung, die wahrshceinlich nciht original ist. Die umlaufende Dioptrienskala ist bei 0 und +/- 5 markiert. Die Augenmuschel ist aus Bakelit.

This 10x20 Porro-II-Modell named "Argus" by the Carl Schütz has a triangular cover shape with rounded corners, a small screwed-on strap-lug and a straigth 35mm long objective tube similar to the one of the "Autokrat" 10x model. The top cover is isncribed line by line with "10x", "Autokrat", "Carl Schütz Co Cassel" and "Patent". The writing with a C for Kassel hints to ta production before 1926. The aluminium covers are flat on the body and are ot screwed on. The objective tube and the eyepieces are made of black lacquered brass, the objective tube is covered with ahrd rubber. The housing has a fake leather covering which most likely is not original. The full dioptre scale is marked at zero and plus/minus five. The eyecupe is made of Bakelite.

Das 10x "Argus" ist 135-140mm lang, das 62mm lange Gehäuse ist 39x39mm breit. Der Objektivtubus ist 25mm im Durchmesser. Das rechtsseitige Okularstück ist 19mm, der Fokussierungsring 24mm und die Augenmuschel 33mm im Durchmesser. Das Monokular wiegt 173g.
