Spindler & Hoyer 5x20 "Spotter"/"Scout"

Dies sind kleine S&H 5x20er in einer olivgrün bzw. braun-grün lackierten Version für die "Swift & Anderson" (Boston, USA) ('SA' in verschlungen Buchstaben auf dem Deckel) mit Modellbezeichnung "Spotter" oder "Scout". Beide Modelle haben am linksseitigen Okular eine Metall Augenmuschel, jedoch ohne Dioptrienskala. Beim "Spotter" ist es eine 3/3 Augenmuschel, bei "Scout" ein 1/3 Augenmuschelring. Die Deckel haben zwei Schrauben. Die Objektivfassung ist beim "Spotter" 2mm breiter. Die Gesamtlänge der Modelle beträgt 68-72mm beim 131g schweren "Spotter" und 69-74mm beim 127g schweren "Scout". Die Gehäuse sind 38x38mm breit und 39,5mm hoch. In einem 1930er Jahre Katalog von S&A werden als Werte für den '"Spotter" 5x19 genannt. Vgl. S&H 5x20 und 5x Mono.

These are small S&H 5x20s with a olive-green or brownish-green finish made for the Swift & Anderson (Boston, USA) ('SA' as script letters is marked on the top covers). Both variants have a metal eyecup at the left-hand sided ocular, but without dioptre scale. The "Spotter" has a 3/3 metal eyecup, the "Scout" a 1/3 metal eyecup ring. The cover plates are fixed by two screws, The objective frame of the "Spotter" is 2mm longer than the "Scout's". The overall length is 68-72mm for the 131g "Spotter" and 69-74mm for the 127g "Scout". The housings are 38x38mm wide and 39.5mm tall. In a S&A 1930s catalogue the "Spotter" is lsited as a 5x19 model. Also see: S&H 5x20 und 5x Mono.
