Spindler & Hoyer 5x20 "Gofünf"

Dies ist ein Spindler & Hoyer 5x20 Monokular "Gofünf" aus Messing mit einer schwarzen Lackierung der einfach verschraubten Deckel. Das Gehäuse mit Kunstlederummantelung ist ca. 37x37x37mm groß. Die Objektivfassung hat einen Durchmesser von 25mm, das Okularstück von 18mm, die Metallaugenmuschel ist 27mm. Unter dem Fokussierungsring gibt es keine Dioptrienskala, nur eine Referenzlinie. Die Gesamtlänge liegt zwischen 72 und 79mm. Das 5x20 wiegt 133g. Der obere Deckel ist mit dem Firmenamen/-logo und dern optischen Werten beschriftet; die Gravur ist mit Silberlot ausgelegt, wie bei frühen Zeiss-Modellen.

This is a Spindler & Hoyer 5x20 Monocular "Gofünf" (Gofive) made of brass with black painted cover plates, fixed with just one screw. The body with its synthetic leather covering is 37x37x37mm wide, the objective frame has a diameter of 25mm, whereas the ocualr piece measures 18mm. The metal eye-cup is 27mm in diameter. Below the focusing ring there is only a reference line, but no dioptre scale. Overall length of the monocular is between 72 and 79mm. The 5x20 weighs 133g. The upper cover plate is marked with the firm's name/logo and its specifications. The engraving is set with silver solder, like the early Zeiss glasses.
