Ross 6x30 "Stepib"

Das "Stepib" 6x30 ist eines der Ross Modelle aus den 1930er Jahren mit Weitwinkelokular. Die Deckel des Porro-1-Monokulars sind einfach verschraubt, und schwarz lackiert. Das Monokular hat eine eingegossene Trageriemenöse und eine Bakelitaugenmuschel. Das linksseitige Okular hat eine umlaufende Dioptrienskala. Der obere Deckel ist mit "ROSS, LONDON No 108793 POWER = 6" und dem Modellnamen "Stepib" beschriftet; der untere trägt die Initialen des ehemaligen Besitzers "J.W.S". Das Objektiv hat eine Verblendungshülse über der Fassung; es kann mit einem Exenterring justiert werden. Die Bauform des "Stepif" wirkt gedrungen (vgl. "Kershaw 6x30 wide angle").

The "Stepib" 6x30 is onme of Ross's 1930s models with a wide angle eyepiece. The black painted covers have one screw. The strap lug ist cast into the aluminium housing. The monocual has a left-hand sided eyepiece with a dioptre ring and a Bakelite eyecup. The top cover is marked "ROSS, LONDON No 108793 POWER = 67" and the the model name "Stepib"; the bottom cover has the inital "J.W.S" of some previous owner engraved. The objective frame is covered with a covering tube; the objective lens can be adjusted with an excenter ring. The design of the "Stepif" looks sort of plump (cf. Kershaw 6x30 wide angle.

Das 6x30 ist 110-120mm lang, das Gehäuse misst oben 59x59mm und unten 63x63mm breit. Die Objektivfassung ist 42mm, das Okular 33mm, der Fokussieruhngsteil 38mm und die Augenmuschel 33,5mm im Durchmesser. Das Monokular wiegt 383g.
