Purlux Model W 8x25

Das 8x25 Monokular hat die Bezeichnung "Purlux Model W" beschriftet in einer stilisierten Weltkugel mit Gradnetz und mit "x8" gekennzeoichnet unter der Weltkugel. Vermutlich stammt es vom gleichen Hersteller wied das andere "Purlux 8x25" und aus gleicher Zeit um den 1. Weltkrieg herum. Der Gehäusekörper mit eingegossener Trageriemenöse ist genauso groß, die Deckel ebenfalls oben dreifach, unten zweifach verschraubt; der eingeschraubte Objektivtubus hat eine aufgeschraubte Zierhülse und innen eingesetzt einen trichterförmige Streulichtblende (s. Foto). Am rechtsseitigen Okular ist der Teil mit der Dioptrienskala mit 13mm recht breit. Der untere Deckel ist mit dem britischen Symbol für den nicht betandenen Test als Militärglas, zwei keilförmigen Strichen, markiert. The 8x25 monocularis named "Purlux Model W" at the centre of a symbolized globe. and marled "x8" below that. It was probably made by the same maker than the other "Purlux 8x25" and also made about the same WWI period.. The housing with cast-in strap lug is the same size, the cover plates also have three screws at the top and two at the bottom. The screwed in objective tube is covered with a decorative tube, also screwed on; there is a funnelk shaped stray light shade at the objective end inside the housing (s. photo). The right-hand sided ocular has a quite wide 13mm part with its dioptre scale. The lower cover is engrved withthe British symbol of two wedge shaped lines marking the glass as having failed the test as a military optic.

Das 8x25 wiegt 237g. Das Gehäuse ist oben 46x46mm und unten 51x52mm breit. Es misst zwischen 107 und 118mm in der Länge. Die Objektivfassung hat einen 30mm Durchmesser, das Okular einen von 21mm, der Fokussierungsteil von 26mm und die Augenmuschel von 33mm. The 8x25 weighs 237g. Its housing measures 46x46mm at its top and 51x52mm at its bottom. It is 107 to 118m in length. The objective frame is 30mm, the ocular 21mm, the focusing part 26mm, and the eyecup 33mm in diameter.
