| Dieses E. Krauss & Cie Monokular mit Nr. 311 im typischen Zeiss-Design ist ein 5x25 Modell von ca. 1900-1905. Wie beim 8x20 gibt es am oberen Deckel eine mit Silberlot ausgelegte Gravur: "E. Krauss, Paris No311". Alle Merkmale sind ähnlich, die Maße entsprechen eher dem Zeiss 5x Monokular, nur dass der obere Deckel gerade ist. Es ist anzunehmen, dass die seitlichen Schrauben bzw. Knöpfe sowie der Ring am unteren Deckel später als Trageriemenbefestigung anstelle der originalen Trageriemenöse montiert wurde. | This E. Krauss & Cie monocular with No. 311 in the typical Zeiss design is a 5x25 mdoel from about 1900-1905. Like the 8x20 it has an engraving on the top cover filled with sivler solder - "E. Krauss, Paris No311". All the features are similar, the measurements come close to those of the Zeiss 5x monocular, apart from the fact that the top cover is straight. One can assume that the screws or knobs on the body sid and the ring on the lower cover plate were attached later as subsitutes for the original strap lug. |
