Kern Aarau "Alpivist"

Das Kern-Spektiv "Alpivist" konnte mit unterschiedlichen Okularen bestellt werden. Der Kern-Prospekt weist Okulare von 15facher, 28facher und 45facher Vergrößerung auf, wie sie kombiniert am Alpitrix-Okularrevolver vorhanden sind. Das 8. Foto zeigt ein "Alpivist" mit allen drei Wechsel-Okularen (mit 28x Okular alks "Alpivira" in einigen Katalogen). Fotos 6 und 7 zeigen ein Alpivist mit 15x Okular, das andere mit silber-grauer Hammerschlaglackierung hat ein 45er Okular. Das Alpivist wurde mit einem passenden 48x13x14cm großen und 2230g schweren Holzkasten geliefert. Er hat zwei Verschlussriegel und ein Schloss. Für den Transport gibt es einen Handgriff. Der Kasten ist mit einem Firmenschild aus Blech beschriftet.

This Kern spotting scope "Alpivist" was availabel with different oculars. The Kern sales brochure lists eyepieces of 15x, 28x and 45x power, those magnification which were combined on a turret of the Alpitrix scope. You can see a model with all changeable eyepieces in the 8th picture. The 28x version is named "Alpivira" in some catalogues. Photos 6 and 7 show a model with a 15 times magnification, the other model with sivlery-grey finish has a 45x ocular. The Alpivist came with a wooden box measuring 48x13x14cm and weighing 2230g. The box has two latches, a lock, a carrying handle and a small tin plate giving the maker's name.

Zum wackelfreien Beobachten gab es ein Tischstativ und ein großes Holzstativ. Das Alpivist mit 45facher Vergrößerung hat die Seriennummer 89811, das mit 15facher Vergrößerung 46536. Beide Gehäusedeckel sind mit "Kern Aarau Alpivist", der Seriennummer und "AR" (= Antireflexbeschichtung) sowie einem Armbrustsymbol beschriftet. Der Dioptrienausgleich reicht von plus bis minus 10. Die Augenmuscheln sind je nach Modell flach für Brillenträger (aus Metall) oder länger (aus Kunststoff). Eine Visiereinrichtung ist am Prismengehäuse unten und am breitesten Endstücl des konischen Objektivtubuses montiert. Die Optik mit Porro-1-Prismen ist vergütet

For a steady view there is a table tripod and a big wooden tripod. The 45x model has serial number 89811, the 15x model has number 46536. Both cover plates are marked "Kern Aarau Alpivist", then serial number amd "AR" (= anti-reflection coating) as well as a crossbow symbol. The dioptre scale ranges from plus to minus 10. There is either a flat metal eyecup for spectacle wearers (45x) or a longer plastic eyecup (15x). An aiming sihgt is attached to the bottom o fthe prism housing and the end frame of the conical objective tube. The optics are coated and have porro 1 prisms.

Das Monokular wiegt 2102g. Es ist 40,8 -41,8 cm und mit ausgezogener Sonnenblende 46,3 lang. Die 7cm hohe Prismendose hat einen Durchmesser von 86mm. Das 46mm lange konische Okularstück verjüngt sich von 47mm auf 39mm. Die Okularhülse misst 22mm, der Fokussierungsring 27mm und die Augenmuschel 32mm im Durchmesser. Der 20cm lange Objektivtubus verbreitert sich von 47 auf 67mm bzw. verbreitert sich am Ansatz des geraden Stücks auf 83mm im Durchmesser. Das gerade Endstück mit der Sonnenblende ist 63mm lang und hat den gleichen 83mm Durchmesser.

The ocular tube is 22mm, the focusing ring 27mm and the eyecup 32mm in diameter. The objective tube is 20cm in length and increases from a 47mm to a 67mm diameter, and finally increases to 83mm until the straight objective frame. The latter with its sunshade is 63mm long and has the same diameter of 83mm.
