Kern Aarau "Alpitrix"
| Das "Alpitrix" wurde von Kern Aarau in den 1950er/60er Jahren gebaut. Es hat einen silbergraue Hammerschlaglackierung oder eine schwarze Lackierung sowie Hartgummiummantelung, eine seitliche Stativhalterung und einen Okularrevolver mit drei Okularen: 15x, 28x und 45x Vergrößerung. Zwei 1/3 Augenmuscheln sind aus Kunststoff, die des 45er Okulars ist eine 2/3 Metallaugenmuschel. Die Dioptrienskalen sind verschieden fein eingeteilt: 15x mit +/-3 Strichteilung; 28x mit +/-5 Teilung; 45x mit +/-10 Teilung. Der Okularrevolver hat an seiner Basis einen geriffelten Ring. Es gibt zwei mit einander verbundene Okularschutzkappen (evtl. so gedacht, um während des Beobachtens durch ein Okular die beiden anderen zu schützen). Das 65mm Objektiv hat eine ausziehbare Sonnenblende. Am Gehäuse gibt es eine Kimme-und-Korn Visiereinrichtung. Wenn man diese nutzt, steht die Beschriftung am Gehäusedeckel auf dem Kopf. The "Alpitrix" was made by Kern Aarau (CH) in the 1950s/60s. It has a silvery-grey textured finish or a black lacquering plus an ebonite covering, a tripod adapter at its side, and a turret for three oculars: 15x, 28x and 45x magnification. Two 1/3 eyecups are made of plastic, the other one of the 45x eyepiece is ametal 2/3 eyecup. The dioptre scales are divided differently: 15x with +/-3 division lines; 28x with +/-5 division; 45x with +/-10 division. The ocular turret has a knurled ring at its base. There are two protection caps for the eyepeices which are connected with straps (probably intended to be used while observing through the third eyepiece). The 65mm objective comes with an extendable rayshade. There is a beads and sights aiming unit. When using it, the inscriptions on the cover plate are upside down. | Das Spektiv ist je nach gebrauchtem Okular 41-44cm lang, mit ausgezogener Sonnenblende sind es ca. 4,5cm mehr. Der Tubus des Okularrevolvers ist 60mm, die schräggestellte gewölbte Trägerplatte 67mm im Durchmesser. Für die Durchmesser der Okularstücke, deren Fokussierungsringe und der Augenmuscheln gilt: 36mm, 42mm, 34mm beim 15x; 26mm, 32mm, 33mm beim 28x; 21mm, 26mm, 32mm beim 45x. Das runde Prismengehäuse ist 68mm hoch und 85mm im Durchmesser. Der konische Tubus verbreitert sich von 47mm auf 71mm, der gerade Endtubus ist 85mm und die von der Sonnenblende umschlossene Objektivfassung ist 80mm im Durchmesser. Das Alpitrix wiegt 2360g. Die Stativfassung ist für einen 16mm Durchmesser. | The spotting scope is 41-44cm long depneding on on used eyepiece, the sunshade adds 4.5 cm to it. The tube of the eyepiece turret is 60mm, the diagonally attached bowl-shaped plate is 67mm in diameter. The following specifications apply to the eyepieces, theri focuusing rings, and theri eyecups: 36mm, 42mm, 34mm for the 15x; 26mm, 32mm, 33mm for the 28x; 21mm, 26mm, 32mm for the 45x. The round prism housing is 68mm tall and 85mm in diameter. The conical tube increases from 47mm to 71mm, the straight end tube is 85mm, and the objective frame (surrounded by the sunshade) is 80mm in diameter. The Alpitrix weighs 2360g. The tripod adapter fits a 16mm rod. |
