Jason Zoom 8-25x30 Monocular

Aus den 1960-70er Jahren stammt dieses terrestrische Teleskop oder Monokular mit Zoom. Es hat die Werte 8x - 25x und ein 30mm Objektiv (vgl. Jason Electric Zoom). Das Monokular ist aus braun lackiertem Metall und hat einen Stativanschluss - hier mit einer Klemmvorrichtung für Autoscheiben. Das Okularstück bzw. die Augenmuschel ist ebenfalls aus Metall. Mit einer Walze wird der Zoomfaktor nahe am Okular eingestellt. Zum Fokussieren wird der Objektivtubus gedreht. Die Objektivlinsenfassung ist mit "Zoom Telescope 8-25 POWER D = 30 mm" beschriftet. Der am Objektivende angebrachte silberne Zierring trägt den Markennamen "Jason" und über "Japan" das Herstellerlogo (Kreis mit drei über den Rand ragenden Strichen --> evtl. Miyauchi).

Dating from the 1960-70s this terrestrial telescope with a zooming system has 8 - 25 power and a 30mm objective (cf. Jason Electric Zoom). The monocular is made of metal lacquered brown and has a tripod thread – this one is fitted with a clamp for a car window. The eyepiece and eyecup are also made of metal. Zooming can be done with a roll adjustment located within a recess next to the ocular. The objective tube is turned for focusing. The objective frame is marked "Zoom Telescope 8-25 POWER D = 30 mm". The silvery decoration ring is inscribed "Jason", opposite to that "Japan" and bears the maker's logo: a circle with three rays reaching over the circle's outline (probably Miyauchi).
