Huet 8x27 "Extra Lumineuse"

Das 8x27 Huet-Monokular datiert aus der Zeit vor bis in den 1. Weltkrieg. Es ist ein "Extra Lumineuse" Modell und wurde vom Britischen Militär verwendet. So hat es am oberen Deckel die Abnahmekennzeichnung für "S1" für beste Qualität mit Nummer 82794. Der untere Deckel trägt die Seriennummer 43464 sowie den "broad arrow" und die Kategorisierung als "Mon. Pris. No1 Mk 1 (vgl. Mon.Pris. Mk1 u.a.). Das Monokular hat eine Geradführung des Okulars und eine evtl. nachträglich angebrachte Metallaugenmuschel. Das Porro-1-Prismengehäuse ist mit Leder ummantelt und hat eine angeschraubte Trageriemenöse. Am unteren Deckel befindet sich ein kleiner Standfuß wie bei den Doppelgläsern.

The 8x27 Huet monocular date from before until WWI. It is an "Extra lumineuse" model and was used by the british Army. Thus, the top cover ha the control markings "S1" for first grade plus number 82794. The bottom cover is marked with a borad arrow and the categorization as a "Mon. Pris. No1 Mk 1 (cf. Mon.Pris. Mk1 and others). The monocular has a lienar ocular movement and a metal eyecup probably later attached. The porro 1 pris housing has a leather covering and a crewed -on strap lug. There is a little foot on the bottom cover plate like on binocualr models.

Das Huet Monokular ist 305g schwer und 135-140mm lang. Das Gehäuse ist oben 51x51mm und unten 53x54mm breit. Die Objektivfassung ist 31mm, das Okular 22mm, der Fokussierungsring 29mm und die vorhandene Augenmuschel 31mm im Durchmesser.

The Huet monocular weighs 305g. It is 135-140mm long. The hopusing measures 51x51mm at its top and 53x54mm at its bottom. The objective frame is 31mm, the eyepiece 22mm, the focusing ring 29mm, and the present eyecup 31mm in diameter.
