Hahn Cassel 4x

Dieses 4x25 Visier von der A.-G. Hahn ist zum einen noch mit "Cassel" mit C als auch mit "Vegr. 4x", so dass es zeitlich vor oder bis zum 1. Weltkrieg einzuordnen ist. Das Visier hat eine schräg angebrachte Schwalbenschwanzmontageschiene mit eine Feder, die es an einem anderen Gerät einrasten lässt. Ob dies ein Geschütz, ein Entfernungsmesser oder anderes war, bleibt derzeit unbekannt. Diese Montage ist ähnlich zu dem Goerz 6x30 "Schrägblinker". Das 4x25 hat innen ein Abbe-König-Prisma. Da Hahn auch mit Hensoldt zusammen arbeitete, könnte das Prisma von Hensoldt, die es für ihre Dialyt-Ferngläser nutzten, geliefert worden sein. An der gerundeten Oberseite gibt es Kimme und Korn zur Grobvisierung. Die Optik selbst hat eine Stichplatten und ein Fenster für die Strichplattenbeleuchtung. Die Strichplatte hat einen Halbkreis mit mittiger vertikaler Linie und unten links und rechts davon jeweils einen zwei kurzen Strich. Das Messinggehäuse ist mit grün-grauem Raulack lackiert. Am der Okularseite ist es mit "Vergr. 4x", an der Objektivseite mit dem A.-G.-Hahn Logo (ein Dreieckprisma, davor ein stilisierter Entfernungsmesser) sowie der Nummer 311 gekennzeichnet.

This 4x25 sight by A.-G. Hahn is on the one hand still inscribed "Cassel" as well as with "Vegr. 4x" (power 4x) so that we can date it to before or until WWI. The sight has a dove-tail mounting rail which is attached diagonally to the body. It also has a spring that snaps onto another instrument. Whether this instrument was a gun, a rangefidner or something else is not known at the moment. This mounting method is similar to the one used for the Goerz 6x30 "Schrägblinker". The 4x25 comes with a Abbe-König prism. As Hahn cooperated with Hensoldt, they may have supplied this prism , which they used for their Dialyt binoculars. On the rounded top there is a notch and bead sight for a rough directing. The opitcs come with a reticle and a window for its illimination. The reticle has a semi-circle with a central vertical line and at its bottom a short line to the left and right each. The brass housing is lacquered with some green-grey paint. It is marked with "Vergr. 4x" )power 4x) at its ocular side, and with the A.-G.-Hahn Logo (a triangular prism behind a stylised rangefinder) as well as number 311.

Das 381 schwere Visier ist 98mm lang. Das Gehäuse ist 71x41x31mm groß. Das Okular ist 22, das Objektiv 21,5mm im Durchmesser. Der Montageteil ist 22mm dick und ca. 37mm hoch.
