Hertel & Reuss 7x50 Tele-Mon

Mit anderem, eher dickeren Gehäuse- und Tubusmaßen als das reguläre 7x50 Monokular wurde in der Zeit zwischen vermutlich 1960 und 1980 das "Tele-Mon 7x50" Modell von Hertel & Reuss als Telefotomonokular gebaut. So weist es, wie andere derartigen Monokulare, ein blankes Okularstück ohne Dioptrienskala mit 30mm Gewinde für die Plastikaugenmuschel bzw. zum Anschrauben an die Kamera und ein 58mm Filtergewinde am Objektivfassungsring auf. Das vorliegende Exemplar hat eine eingegossene Trageriemenöse, eine Kunstlederummatnelung, schwarz lackierte Metallteile und -deckel (oben 2, unten 1 Schraube) sowie einen Refernzstrich am linksseitigen Okulartubus und Fokussierungsteil (dort: mit Null gekennzeichnet). Die Optik ist vergütet. Der obere Deckel trägt das Hertel & Reuss Firmenlogo und die Werte mit Modellbezeichnung, am unteren Deckelrand steht "Made in Germany".

The "Tele-Mon 7x50" model by Hertel & Reuss was made between the 1960s and 1980 as a telephoto-lens monocular with a rather thicker and body and tube size than the regular 7x50 monocular. So like other telephoto monocualrs it has a blank eyepiece without any dioptre scale, and with a 30mm thread for either the plastic eyecup or for screwing to the camera as well as a 58mm filter thread on the obejctive frame ring. The specimen here has a cast-in strap lug, a fake leather covering, balck paitned metal parts and covers (top 2, bottom 1 screw) as wel las a reference line ont heleft-hand sided eyepiece and the focusing piece (marked zero). The optics are coated. The top cover is marked with the company's logo, its specifications and model name. On the bottom cover rim is says "Made in Germany".

Das 454g schwere Monokular ist 170-188mm lang und das Gehäuse misst oben 63x63 und unten 70x70mm. Der Objektivtubus verbreitert sich von 55mm zu 64mm im Durchmesser. Das Okular ist 32mm, der Fokussierungsteil 38mm und die Augenmsuchel 34mm im Durchmesser.

The monocular wieghs 454g and is 170-188mm long. The housing measures 63x63 at its top, and 70x70mm at its bottom. The objective tube icnreases from 55mm to 64mm in diameter. The eyepiece is 32mm, the focusing ring 38mm, and the eyecup 34mm in diameter.
