Goerz Bratislava 6x - 45°-Einblick

Das 1,179 kg schwere 6x30 Monokular aus Messing wurde in der Goerz-Zweigstelle Bratislava gefertigt. Neben dieser Firmenbeschriftung ist auf der (Ober)seite des Objektivtubuses "6x 1809 8¹/₃°" graviert. Das 6x30 erinnert ein bisschen an die Zeiss'schen Sucherfernrohre 6x30 und 10x45, da es ein einfache Strichplatte - für Visier- oder Suchzwecke - hat (s. Bild) , um 45° abgewinkelt ist und ein Filtersystem mit den Farben orange-gelb, grün-gelb, grau und klar hat. Allerdings werden die Filter mittels eines Drehrads auf der Rückseite eingeschwenkt. Die Strichplatte besteht aus einem durchgezogenen Strich mit einem mittigen sehr kurzen Strich. In welcher Ausrichtung (horizontal oder vertikal) die Striche jeweils gesehen werden sollten, lässt sich derzeit nicht sagen. Die Schwalbenschwanzmontierung auf der (Unter-)Seite ließe sich z.B. auch gut vertikal in eine Fassung schieben und so "verkeilen". Auf diese Weise wäre die Beschriftung aufrecht auf dem Tubus zu lesen; was ggf. auf diese Anbringungsposition hinweist. Am Montagesockel fehlt ggf. eine Federschraube zum Arretieren des Schwalbenschwanzes am Hauptgerät. Das Okularstück hat eine Beleuchtungsöffnung, eine Fokussierung mit einer Dioptrieneinstellung von + bis - 5, gekennzeichnet bei 0, 3 und 5, sowie eine dreh- und wegklappbare Augenmuschelring (Augenmuschel fehlt). Die Objektivlinse ist um 36mm in den Tubus zurückversetzt, so dass dies eine Streulichtblende und Regenschutz ergibt.
Das 6x Visier wird wohl, wie ähnliche Instrumente, an einem Entfernungsmesser oder Kommandogerät als Sucherfernohr montiert worden sein. (vgl. a.Goerz 6x30 SA)

Goerz Bratislava 6x - 45° angled view

This 6x30 monocular weighing 1.179 kg was made of brass in the Goerz branch of Bratislava. Apart from the company markings it is engraved "6x 1809 8¹/₃°" on the (upper) side of the objective tube. The 6x30 reminds me a bit of the "Zeiss Sucherfernrohre" 6x30 and 10x45, because it has a simple reticle - intended for directing or aiming - hat (see pci.), it has an angled view of 45°, and comes with a filter system with orange-yellow, green-yellow, grey and clear filters. But the filters can be swung in by means of a rotating knob at the back. The reticle consists of a side-to-side line with a centred short line. Which position (horizontal or vertical) were meant to be read is unknwon at the moment. The dove-tail mount on the (lower) side, for example, may well be vertically slipped into the matching socket, thus "wedging" the scope. Thus, the isncriptions too would be seen upright. This again may hint at the used mounting position. A spring screw to clamp the mount onto the main device may be missing on the dove-tail base. The eyepiece has an opening for the illumination unit, focusing ring with a dioptre adjsutment ranging from + to - 5, being marked with 0, 3 and 5. Moreover there is a rotateable and fold-away eyecup frame (eyecup missing). The objective lens is retracted into the tube by 36mm so that it serves as a straylight and rain-guard.
Like similar glasses, the 6x sight was probably moutned to a rangefinder or commando director as a aiming soght. (cf. a.Goerz 6x30 SA)

Das 6x Monokular ist 167mm lang und 110mm hoch, das 52mm lange Gehäuse ist 53mm im Durchmesser. Das Okularstück ist 31mm, der Fokussierungsring 42mm und die Fassung bei der Strichplatte 33mm im Durchmesser. Der Objektivtubus verbreitert sich von 33 auf 43mm im Durchmesser.

The 6x monocular is 167mm long and 110mm high, the 52mm long housing is 53mm in diameter. The eyepiece is 31mm, the focusing ring 42mm, and the frame of the reticle 33mm in diameter. The objective tube increases from 33 to 43mm in diameter.
