Carl Zeiss Jena "Dosenfernrohr 12x 25x 40x60"
| Das sogenannte "Dosenfernrohr" wurde zwischen 1897 und 1905 hergestellt – worauf auch der Zeiss Schriftzug in geschwungener Schrift hinweist. Das abgebildete Modell ist die größere Version (s. Detail) mit 12x-, 25x- und 40x-Okularen sowie einem 60mm Objektiv. Es hat eine ausziehbare Sonnenblende. Das Detailfoto des dosenförmigen Okularrevolvers zeigt ein freies (Gewinde-)Loch, das den geradlinigen Strahlendurchgang vom Tubus in den Revolver ermöglicht. Das dosenförmige Prismengehäuse beinhaltet ein Dachkantprismensystem nach Abbé-König (vgl. Dialyt), wie im Schemabild zu sehen ist. |
The so-called "Dosenfernrohr" (Tin Can Telescope) was made between 1897 and 1905 – the Zeiss script logo already indicates this. The model depicted here is the larger version (s. detail) with a 12x, 25x and 40x eye-pieces. The objective diameter is 60mm. It also has a extendable sun-shade. The detail photo of the tin-shaped ocular revolver shows an open (thread) hole which allows the linear path of light from the objective tube through the tin-can ocular revolver. The tin-shaped prism housing contains a roof top prism system after Abbé-Koenig (cf. Dialyt prism), as you can also see in the sketch. |
| Das erste Modell hat die Seriennummer 60, das zweite Nr. 192. Das große Dosenfernrohr ist 55-59cm lang je anch Okularwahl. Mit dem ausgezogenen Blendschutz verlängert es sich um ca. 10cm. Der Okularrevolver ist ca. 12cm im Durchmesser bei einer Dicke von 5cm. Alle Okulare haben einen Dioptrienausgleich und Bakelitaugenmuscheln; ihre Länge beträgt 30mm, 35mm und 70mm. Der Objektivtubus ist am Ansatz 50mm und am Objektiv 64mm im Durchmesser. Die Messingteile sind oder waren schwarz lackiert, der Okularrevolver hat ein Aluminiumgehäuse. | The first model has serial number 60, the second is number 192.
