Carl Zeiss 4x20

80° Einblick

Der "kleine Bruder" des 8x40 Beobachtungs-Fernrohr oder Richtmann-Fernrohr ist das 4x20 mit 80° Einblick (s. Vergleich im Bild 2). Dieses Modell wurde als Paar am 2m Entfernungsmesser (Vergrößerung 11x, Wandermarke) verwendet (s. die vier letzten Fotos). Auch diese wurde unten am Rohr mit den Montageplatten links und rechts vom oberen Fernrohrteil aufgeschraubt (s. Fotos).

80° angled view

The "little brother" of the 8x40 observation or rangefinder telescope is the 4x20 model with an 80° viewing angle (cf. both models in image 2). This model was used in pairs on 2-meter rangefinders (magnification 11x, travelling mark; see last photos). It was also screwed to the underside of the tube using mounting plates positioned to the left and right of the main telescope body (see photos).

Das unvergütete Fixfokus-Monokular ist am Okularstück mit dem Carl-Zeiss-Linsenlogo, einer Seriennummer und 4x20 gekennzeichnet. Für das Fadenkreuz gibt hinten leicht nach rechts versetzt eine Beleuchtungsfenster und eine Schiene zum Aufstecken des Lampengehäuses (s. Foto mit Fadenkreuz ohne und mit Beleuchtung). Am Objektivende gibt es eine abgeschrägte Sonnenblende mit einen innen vorklappbaren dunkelgrauen Filterglas.

The uncoated, fixed-focus monocular is marked on the eyepiece tube with the Carl Zeiss lens logo, a serial number, and the specification "4x20." For the cross-hairs reticle, there is an illumination window located at the rear—slightly offset to the right—along with a rail for attaching the lamp housing (cf. photo of the reticle without and with lighting). At the objective end, there is an angled sunshade featuring an internal, flip-down dark grey filter glass.

Das 4x20 wiegt 188g. Es ist am Objektivteil 90mm und am Okularteil 100mm lang. Der Objektivtubus ist 32mm im Durchmesser, das Sonnenblendestück 36mm hoch. Der Okularteil ist 36mm, das 23mm lange Okularstück 24mm im Durchmesser. Die Montageplatte ist 54,5mm breit.

The 4x20 weighs 188g. It measures 90mm in length at the objective end and 100mm at the eyepiece end. The objective tube has a diameter of 32mm, and the sunshade sleeve is 36mm tall. The eyepiece section measures 36mm, while the 23mm-long eyepiece itself has a diameter of 24mm. The mounting plate is 54.5mm wide.
