Es ist ein Porro 2 Modell mit dem dafür typischen runden Prismengehäuse sowie einem konische zum Objektiv verbreiterten Tubus. Als Seriennummer trägt das Glas mit linksseitigem Okular 102797 (ca. 1950), das mit rechtsseitigem Okular 99847 (Baujahr ca. 1948/49) jeweils an der Seite der Prismendose. Das Monokular hat außerdem die Kennzeichnung mit "British Patent 572537", was sich auf die Art der Verkittung der Prismen und der Feldlinse bezieht (vgl. The serial number of the right-hand sided ocular model is 99847 and of serial number of the left-hand sided model 102797 – production dates c. 1948/49 and 1950. Furthermore, the monocular is also marked with "British Patent 572537", referring to the way of cementing the prisms and the field lens together by a thin layer of adhesive (cf. CF28A). |

Das Bakelit-Prismengehäuse ist 36mm hoch und 59mm im Durchmesser. Der 15,5cm lange Objektivtubus verbreitert sich von 33mm auf 58mm und endet mit 67mm im Durchmesser an der Bakelitfassung. | The CF30A is 225mm to 235mm long and weighs 468g with its carrying strap. The eyecup is 37mm, the focusing ring 36mm and the ocular tube 29mm in diameter. The Bakelite prism housing is 36mm long and 59mm in diameter.
