Barr & Stroud CF56a 15x60
| Auch das CF56A von B&S ist ein Porro 2 Modell mit den typischen Merkmalen der B&S-Ferngläser. Anders ist lediglich der Endteil des Objektivtubus', der sich ebenfalls konisch verbreitert. Die Vergrößerung ist 15fach bei einem 60mm Objektiv. Das Sehfeld beträgt 79m/1000m. Die Seriennummer seitlich am Prismengehäuse ist '118254.', '115828.' bzw. '124842' (letzten beide Exemplare des Verf.); das Monokular wurde Anfang der 50er gefertigt. Auf dem Deckel ist ebenso die Patentnummer "572537" eingraviert (vgl. CF28a. Die Optik ist vergütet. Die Tubusteile haben eine strukturierte Ummantelung. Der Dioptrienausgleich geht bis +/-6, ist aber bei +5, 0 und -5 gekennzeichnet. Das Modell mit Nummer 124842 hat keine Ummantelung und einen Auszugsokular anstelle des drehbaren; mlgkicherweise ein Umbau für eine schnelle Fokussierung (s. Bild 4). |
The CF56A by B&S also is a porro 2 model with its typical features of the B&S type. It only differs at the end piece of the objective tube which widens conically. The magnification is 15 times, and the objective lens is 60mm. Field of view is 79yds/1000ft. The serial number imprinted at the side of the prism box is '11824.', '115828.' and '124842' (last two monoculars from my collection); the glass was made at the beginning of the 50s. The patent number 572537 is engraved on the prism box cover (cf. CF28a. Optics are coated. The tube is covered with a textured paint surface. The dioptre adjustment ranges from + to - 6, being marked at +5, 0 and -5. The model with nuimber 124842 has no textured paint, and comes with a draw-tube eyepiece instead of the turnable one; probably refurbished for quicker focusing (see pic. 4). |
| Das CF56a ist 27,5cm bis 28,1cm lang. Das rechtsseitige Okular ist 28mm, die Augenmuschel 35mm im Durchmesser. Die Prismendose ist 37mm hoch und 59mm im Durchmesser. Der gesamte Objektivtubus ist 20cm lang, davon das breitere Enddstück 65mm. Der lange Teil verbreitert sich von 33 auf 59mm, der Endteil von 67 auf 77mm im Durchmesser. Die Objektivlinse ist ca. 10mm nach innen versetzt. Das Monokular wiegt 601g. | The CF56a measures 27.5 to 28.1cm in length. The right-hand sided ocular is 28mm, the eyecup 35mm in diameter. The prism box is 37mm long and 59mm in diameter. The whole objective tube is 20cm long, of which the end piece comprises 65mm. The longer tube part increases from 33mm to 59mm in diameter, the end part widens from 67mm to 77mm in diameter. The objective lens is recessed by about 10mm. The monocular weighs 601g. |
