Dies ist ein blau vergütetes 10x35 Monokular mit der Deckelbezeichnung "Army & Navy Stores Ltd. 1871" in einem Oval und zwei Soldaten mit Signalflaggen - wahrscheinlich einen Matrosen und Fußsoldaten - einschließend, sowie daneben "10x35". Der einfach verschraubte untere Deckel trägt das Sonnensymbol mit F an einem Strahl, das auf allen Auquilius Monokularen auftaucht. Am Deckelrand steht "Made in France" als weiterer Beleg dafür. Wahrscheinlich eine Produktion für den britischen Markt. Das Monokular ist von seinen Spezifikationen her identisch mit dem Aquilius 10x35, unterscheidet sich nur durch die Beschriftung und ein rechtseitiges Okular..

This is a blue coated 10x35 monocular with cover plate markings "Army & Navy Stores Ltd. 1871" in an oval including two soldiers with signal flags - probably a seaman and a foot soldier each - as well as to the right of it a "10x35" specification. The single screw lower cover plate is marked with a sun symbol havin an "F" at one ray, an emblem shown on every glass made by "Aquilius". The cover rim is inscribed "Made in France" which is another hint to that. It could well be a production for the British market. Specifications of this monocular are identical to the Aquilius 10x35, only differing in inscriptions and having a right-hand sided ocular.
