Wray 25x Prismscope

Dieses Wray Monokular oder Spektiv hat eine 25fache Vergrößerung und 50mm Objekitvlinse. Alle Metallteile sind mit anthrazit oder schwarzem Rauhlack lackiert. Am Objektivtubusende gibt es eine ausziehbare Sonnenblende (ca. 5cm lang). Die Augenmuschel fehlt. Am linksseitigen Okulartubus befindet sich eine Skala zur Justierung des Okulars auf eine Entfernung von 25yds bis unendlich (s. Foto). Es gibt eine Trageriemenöse am Gehäuse und innenliegend am Zwischenring eine Gesichtsfeldblende. Der obere Deckel ist mit "Wray N.S.R.A. Prismscope x25 No. 187465" bzw. beim weitern Exemplar mit "Wray-UNGER Prism-Scope x25 No. 145604" beschriftet. NSRA steht höchstwahrscheinlich für die "National Small-bore Rifle Association" in Großbritannien; das Monokular wurde also wahrscheinlich zuir Zielkontrolle bei mschießen genutzt. Am unteren Deckel steht der Name des Vertreibers: "Stanley Unger 19 . Upper Berkely St. W.I.". Das Teleskop stammt aus der 1. Hälfte des 20. Jh.

This Wray monocular or spotting scope has a 25 times magnification and 50mm objective lens. All metal parts are painted with a anthracite crinkle paint. The objective tube has an extendable sun-shade (c. 5cm). The eyecup is missing. The left-hand sided eyepiece has an adjusting scale giving distances to focus between 25yds and infinity (s. photo). There is a strap lug, and inside the intermediate ring a diaphragm is attached. The top cover is marked "Wray N.S.R.A. Prismscope x25 No. 187465" and "Wray-UNGER Prism-Scope x25 No. 145604" on a further model. NSRA msot likely stands for the National Small-bore Rifle Association in the UK, so the scope was intended for target control. The bottom cover is marked with the distributor's name: "Stanley Unger 19 . Upper Berkely St. W.I.". The telescope dates from the first half of the 20th century.

Der konische Tubus beginnt bei einem 50mm Durchmesser. Das Okular ist 27mm, der Fokussierungsring 31,5mm im Durchmesser. Das 61mm hohe Prismengehäuse ist oben 61x56mm und unten 69x62mm breit.
