Dr. Wöhler Prisma-Teleskop

Dieses Teleskop der deutschen Firma Dr. Wöhler in Kassel hat ein Porro-1-Prismensystem, wobei das dosenförmige Prismengehäiuse ein Porro-2-System vermuten ließe. Alle Metallteile sind aus Aluminium und schwarz lackiert bzw. der Haupttubus und das Prismengehäuse sind mit einem gekörnten Rauhlack ummantelt. Am 57mm breiten und 19,8cm langen Haupttubus ist ein 50mm blau vergütetes Objektiv eingeschraubt. Der Verschlussring an dem anderen Ende ist mit einem Stativgewinde versehen und mit "Prisma", "Made in Germany" und den Angaben "20x", auf der anderen Seite "40x" beschriftet. Da in der Dreh-Okularhülse ein 20fach-Okular (23,1mm) eingeschoben ist, ist zu vermuten, dass auch ein 40fach-Okular mitgeliefert wurde oder erhältlich war.

This telescope by the german maker Dr. Woehler of Kassel has a porro 1 system, though the tin shaped prism housing looks like a porro 2 system. All meals parts are made of aluminium and painte black. The main tube and the prism housing are covered with a black granulated crinkle paint. A 50mm objective lens is scrwed in at the end of the 57mm wide and 19.8cm long main tube. Its coated blue. The cover ring at the other end has a tripod thread and marked "Prisma", "Made in Germany" and on one side "20x", on the other side "40x". As there is a 20x ocular (23.1mm) slipped into the ocular focusing tube, the 40x ocular was probably an original part or available extra.

Der 37,5mm breite Auszugstubus lässt sich bis auf 13,5cm herausziehen, hat aber 2cm vor Ende eine Markierung, die den Standardauszug – also 11,5cm – für eine Scharfeinstellung angibt. Die 48mm hohe Prismendose ist schwenkbar auf einer runden Scheibe am Auszugstubus montiert. Aufgrund des seitlichen Versatzes des Porroprismensystems lässt sich erst durch Aufschwenken der volle Bereich für den Durchgang des Strahlengangs bzw. Lichts erreichen, auch wenn ohne dies das Teleskop nutzbar ist. Der obere Deckel des Gehäuses hat ein Achromat-Linsenlogo mit der Inschrift "Dr. Wöhler Kassel" und die Produktiomsnummer 51320. Das 29mm Okularstück hat einen Markierungsstrich für die Dioptrieneinstellung, welche auf dem 32mm Drehokular von +5 bis -5 eingezeichnet ist. Die Gesamtlänge variiert zwischne 29cm und 32,5cm je nach Justierung. Das Prisma-Teleskop wiegt 509g.

The 37.5 wide draw tube can be pulled out until 13.5cm, but there is a stop line 2 cm before – i.e. at 11.5cm – which gives the best position to focus the optics. The 48mm tall prism box can be swung aside. It is fixed on a disc attached to the draw tube. Due to the offset of the porro prisms this is neccessary to achieve the full range of light or path-of-light, although the telescope can be used without that. The top cover plate is marked "Dr. Wöhler Kassel" within a logo showinga achromatic lens, and has the production number 51320. The 29mm eyepiece has a reference line for dioptre adjustment. The 32.5mm focusing part has dioptre division lines ranging from +5 to -5. The scope's overall length varies between 29cm and 32.5cm when filly extended. The Prisma-Teleskop weighs 509g.
