Watson 8x30 1916

Dieses "W. Watson & Sons Ltd." Monokular aus Messing und mit rotbrauner Lederummantelung ist ein Militrämonokular mit dem "broad arrow" Zeichen am unteren Deckel, sowie der Beschreibung der Strichplattenteilung "Graticules 1/4° apart ..." für die Britische Strichplatte im Okulartubus. Der obere Deckel ist außerdem mit der Zahl 1916 (Jahreszahl?) beschriftet. Die Mesingdeckel sind dreifach verschraubt und schwarz lackiert. Der überstehende obere Deckelrand formt den Trageriemenschlitz.

This 8x30 monocular by "W. Watson & Sons Ltd." is made of brass and covered with some red-brown leather. It is a military model marked with a broad arrow on the lower cover, and the usual description of the line devisions "Graticule 1/4° apart ..." for the reticle. The top cover is also inscribed with the number 1916 (year?). The brass covers are painted black and have three screws. The protruding upper rim of the cover plate has a slit for a carrying strap.
