Toko 6x25
| Da das Toko 6x15 eine Schwalbenschwanzmontierung aufweist, dürfte es als Zielvisier an einme Gewehr oder Kanone oder ggf. an einem Peilgerät gedient haben. Es hat auch einen Peilkreis und verikale bzw. horizontale Peilstriche auf einer Strichplatte im Okular. Das Gehäuse ist mit Hartgummi ummantelt und hat schwarz lackierte Messingdeckel. Die linksseitige Okular hat eine Dioptrienskala von plus bis minus sechs. Die Augenmuschel fehlt. Der obere Deckel ist mit "6x 9.3°", dem Toko-Logo, "No. 51514", darunter "J.E.S." (= Japnese Enginering Standards)sowie zwei weiteren japanischen Zeichen, die wohl für die Art der Schrauben bzw. Gewinde stehen (s. Rohan 2001, S. 164), beschriftet. | As the Toko 6x15 has a dove tail mounting, it must be some sight for a gun or cannon or was used with an aiming device. There also is a targeting circle and vertical as well as horizontal lines on a reticle within the ocular peice. TRhe housing is covered with ebonite and has black lacquered brass covers. The left-hand- sided eyepiece comes with a dioptre scale ranging from plus to minus six. The eyecup is missing. The top cover is inscribed "6x 9.3°", with the Toko logo, then "No. 51514", and below "J.E.S." (= Japnese Enginering Standards)as well as two more Kapanese signs which are supposed to stand for the sort of screws or threads used (see Rohan 2001, p. 164). |
