Toko 3,5x20
| Dieses 3,5x Visier wurde als Paar an 25mm Flugabwehrkanonen benutzt. Es wurde von Toko gefertigt und ein 20mm Objektiv. Es lässt sich als Paar in einem Holzkasten transportieren. Dabei sind jeweils ein graues und gelbes Filterpaar. Der Kasten ist mit japanischen Zeichen beschriftet; beiliegend ist ein Zettel des Herstellers Toko. Die Monokulare werden mit einer Schwalbenschwanzmontierung links und rechts an der Kanonenlafette gesteckt (s. Bild 3). | This 3.5x sight was used as a pair on a 25mm anti-aircraft cannon. IT was mad by Toko. It has a 20mm objective lens. The pair of monoculars can be carried in a wooden box. It also contains a department for a pair of yellwo and grey filters. The case is inscribed with Japanes script. There is also a maker'S slip of paper with some information. The sights can be attached with a dove-tail mount on the left and right side of the cannon carriage (see pic. 3). |
| Die Filter werden auf die Okulare gesteckt, und können mit einem kleinen Bügel wieder herausgezogen werden, was notwendig wird, da die großen (rötlich-braunen) Gummi-Gewebe-Augenmuschel ein Herausnehmen mit den Fingern so nicht erlauben. Die 10fach verschraubten Objektiv-seitigen Gehäusedeckel sind mit dem Toko-Logo, den optischen Werten - auch Sehfeld von 20° - einer Seriennummer (identisch für das Paar) und in Klammern einem japanischen Symbol, vermutlich für "links" und "rechts" gekennzeichnet. Am Rand zur Schwalbenschwanzmontierung hin neben einer Schraube ist das Symbol für das Trockenlegung-Ventil markiert (wenn man den Deckel abnimmt, ist keine #Entlüftungsloch erkennbar). | The filter glasses are slipped onto the ocular ends and can be pulled off with a small bracket. They are attached to the filter frames, because the big reddish-brown rubber and gauze eyecups prevent to take tehm off with one's figners. The objective cover plate has 10 screws. It is markd with the Toko logo, the otpical data including field of view, i.e. 20°, a serial number (identical for the pair of monoculars) and a bracketed Japanese symbol, assumingly standing for "left" and "right". Near the edge to the mounting side and next to a screw there is the symbol for the desiccation outlet (taking off the cover palte does not show any sign of a dessication hole). |
| Die Monokulare haben eine Strichplatte mit Fadenkreuz und typischen Ziel-Ovalen für die Flugüberwachung. Das Okular hat eine Dioptrienskala von -4 bis +2 und einen Refernzstrich an der Okularhülse. Das Aluminiumgehäuse ist mit einer schwarzen Farbe matt lackiert und hat die Form eines halben Zylinders. Innen befindet sich ein Porro-2- Prismensystem. | The monocualrs have a retcile with cross-hairs and typical aiming ovals for air surveillance. The eyepiece has a dioptre scale ranging from -4 to +2 and a corresponding line on the tube. The aluminium housing is lacquereed with a matte black paint and has a semi-circular shape. Inside there is a porro 2 prism system. |

Die Objektivfassung ist 31,5mm, das Okularstück 44mm, der Fokussierungsteil 51,5mm und die Augenmuschel 54mm im Durchmesser. Der Transportkasten ist 23x19x12cm und wiegt 1415g. | Das 3.5x weighs 727g. It is 14-15cm long and measures 55x69mm at its straight mounting side. The heigth of the semi-circular side is 67mm. The objective frame is 31.5mm, the eyepiece is 44mm, the focusing ring is 51.5mm, and the eyecup is 54mm in diameter. The carrying case is 23x19x12cm and weighs 1415g. |
