Das laut Verkaufsstempel 1972 gefertigte "Habicht" 8x30 trägt die Fabrikationsnummer 840467 (s. oberer Deckel) und wird auf der Verpackung als "DV" und "Weitwinkel" bezeichnet. Die beiden letzten Angaben sind nicht auf dem oberen Deckel zu finden, während ein andere Swarovski 8x30 Monokulare die Bezeichnung "N" oder "W" hinter der Kenngröße auf den Deckeln aufweisen (s. Fotos). Der untere Deckel ist mit "Swarovski-Optik Tirol" im Prismenlogo bechriftet. Beide Deckel sind schwarz lackiert und einfach verschraubt. Das linksseitige Okular hat eine umlaufende Dioptrienskala mit Bezifferung bei 0, +5 und -5 und eine Plastikaugenmuschel. Das Gehäuse hat eine Ummantelung mit einem strukturiertem Kunststoff. Die Optiken sind blau-violett vergütet. Das DV-Modell wurde mit einem Lederputztuch sowie einem Staubpinsel und Anleitung in einer Schachtel verkauft, das N-Modell hat einen Lederköcher.

The "Habicht" 8x30 was made in 1972 according to the receipt. It has production number 840467 (top cover plate) and is marked as a "DV" and "wide angle" model on the sale box. The two latter specifications are not marked on the top cover plate, whilst other models are inscribed with "N" or "W" after the optical data (s. photos). The bottom cover plate is marked with "Swarovski-Optik Tirol" in a prism logo. Both covers are painted black and have one screw, The left-hand sided ocular has a dioptre scale around the tube and is marked at+5, 0 and -5. The ocular has a plastic eyecup, and the housing is covered with textured plastic. The optics are coated blue- violet. The DV model came with a cleaning leather cloth, a brush, and a manual, all packed in a cardboard box. The N model ame with a leather case.

Bei einer Länge von 11 - 11,5cm und einer Gehäusebreite von 49x49mm bzw. 55x55mm wiegt das Monokular 197g. Das Okularstück ist 28mm, die Augenmuschel 34mm und der Objektivtubus 41,5mm im Durchmesser.
