Steiner 8x30
| Dies ist ein typisches Porro-1-Prismenmonokular mit strukturierter Rauhlackummantelung und schwarz lackierten Deckel der Firma Steiner (Bayreuth). Es hat die Werte 8x30. Das linksseitige Okular hat einen Dioptrienausgleich - nur mit Null, Plus und Minus gekennzeichnet - und eine Kunststoffaugenmuschel. Die Optik ist vergütet. Das Gehäuse hat eine eingelassene Trageriemenöse. Die Deckel des abgebildeten Modells haben eine Deckelschraube, die mir vorliegenden Exemplare (s. Bild 4) haben keine Schrauben am deckel. Bei diesen sind Augenmuschel 3/3 Typen, also Dioptrienskala, Fokussierungsring und Augenmuschel ist aus einem Teil, hier aus Plastik. Auch die Objektivfassung ist aus Kunststoff, was eher ungewöhnlich ist. |
This is a typical porro 1 prism monocular with a textured ebonite covering and black painted cover plates. It was made by Steiner, Bayreuth in Germany. Specifications are 8x30. The left-hand sided ocular has a dioptre adjustment - marked only with zero, plus and minus - and a plastic eyecup. Optics are coated. There is a cast-in strap lug at the body. The depicted model has one screw at each cover plate, the ones I have (see 4th pic) come with no screws. They have 3/3 eyecups. i.e. dioptre ring, focusing ring and eyxecup are cast in one piece, here it is made of plastic. The objective frame is also made of plastic, which is rather unusual. |
