Selsi 8x30

Dieses Selsi 8x30 Monokular - vermutlich aus den 1960-70er Jahren - wurde nach dem am unteren Deckel gekennzeichneten Herstellercode "J-B230" von "Palus Optical, Tokyo" gefertigt. Der Deckel ist auch mit "Made in Japan" und dem JTII-Kontroll-Label gekennzeichnet. Der obere Deckel hat den auf der aktuellen Selsi-Website gebrauchten "Selsi"-Schriftzug sowie "8x30 Field 7,5° COATED OPTICS" und "No. 22214" in goldgelben Buchstaben aufgdruckt. Beide Alu-Deckel sind einfach verschraubt und schwarz lackiert. Das Gehäuse hat eine strukturierte Hartgummiummantelung. Die Dioptriuenskala am linksseitigem Okular reicht nur von +2 bis -4.

This Selsi 8x30 monocular – probably from the 1960s to 70s – was made by "Palus Optical, Tokyo" according to the maker's code "J-B230" at the lower cover. The latter is also marked with "Made in Japan" and the JTII control label. Theupper cover is isncribed in golden-yellow letters with the Selsi script from the current website as well as "8x30 Field 7,5° COATED OPTICS" and "No. 22214". Both aluminium covers have one screw and are paitned black. The housing comes with a sturcutred hard rubber covering. The dioptre scale at the left-hand sided eyepiece ranges only from +2 to -4.

Das 8x30 wiegt 201g, ist 114-119mm lang, am oberen Gehäuserand 51x51mm und unten 58x58mm breit. Die Objektivfassung ist 40mm im Durchmesser, das Okular misst 28mm, der Fokussierungsteil 35mm und die Augenmuschel 34mm.
Eine andere Modellvariante hat einen Stativadapter am Gehäuse und ist mit "Lightweight" sowie "Amber coated" beschriftet.

The 8x30 weighs 201g. It measures 114-119mm in length, 51x51mm at the top of thee housing and 58x58mm at its bottom. The objective frame is 40mm in diameter, the eyepiece 28mm, the focusing part 35mm, and the eyecup 34mm in diameter.
A different 8x30 model has a tripod adapter at its body and is marked "Lightweight" as well as "Amber coated".
