Selsi 6x30

Dieses Selsi 6x30 ist ein Porro-1-Monokular aus japanischer Fertigung. Der untere Deckel ist mit einem "K" in einem Kreis darunter "Japan" gekennzeichnet. Der obere Deckel ist mit "Selsi LIGHTWEIGHT 6x30 Field 7.5° AMBER COATED" in goldgelbener Schrift beschriftet. Die Deckel sind einfach verschraubt und schwarz lackiert. Die Linsen sind bernsteinfarben bzw. goldgelb vergütet. Der mit Hartgummi überzogene Korpus hat eine eingegossene Trageriemenöse und ein Stativgewinde. Am unteren Deckel ist eine Gewindestumpf eingelassen, an dem mit einer Überwurfmutter wiederum eine Schraubstift befestigt ist. Dessen Zweck ist mir nicht bekannt. Zum Gehäuse hin ist die Objekttivfassung blank und wirkt wie ein Zierring. Die Dioptrieskala reicht von +2 bis -4. Die Augenmuschel ist aus schwarzem Kunststoff. Die dazugehörige Ledertasche hat einen Schnappverschluus gekenzeichnet mit "Mitsubbishi" und deren Logo.

This Selsi 6x30 is a porro 1 monocular made in Japan. The lower cover is marked with a "K" in a circle and "Japan". The upper cover plate is inscribed with golden-yellow letters "Selsi LIGHTWEIGHT 6x30 Field 7.5° AMBER COATED". The covers have one screw and are painted black. The hard rubber covered body has a cast-in strap lug and a tripod thread. There is also a threaded stump at the lower cover. A screw is attached to it with a retainer nut. I do not know the purpose for this. The objective frame has been left blank as a silvery decorative ring near the housing. The dioptre scale ranges from +2 to -4. The eyecup is made of black plastic. The monocular comes with a matching leather case. Its latch is marked with "Mitsubishi" and their logo.

Das 6x30 wiegt 238g. Es ist 116-122mm lang und am Gehäuse oben 49x49mm und unten 57x57mm breit. Die Objektivfassung ist 40mm im Durchmesser, das Okularstück 29mm, der Fokussierungsring 36mm und die Augenmuschel 34mm im Durchmesser. Die Überwurfmutter am unteren Deckel hat einen 22mm Durchmesser, die Befestigungschraube steht 22mm hervor.

The 6x30 weighs 238g. It is 116-122mm long and measures 49x49mm at the top of the housing and 57x57mm at the bottom. The objective frame is 40mm, the eyepiece 29mm, the focusing part 36mm and the eyecup 34mm in diameter. The retainer nut at the lower cover plate has a 22mm diameter. The attachment screw protrudes by 22mm.

Ein wohl früheres Selsi 6x30 Modell mit blau vergüteter Optik (s. Fotos 6-8) wurde auch in Japan hergestellt, hat aber ein anderes Logo: Dreieck mit Dollarzeichen, dahinter eine bikonkave Linse. Die Beschriftung am oberen Deckel ist weiß, am unteren Deckel gibt es keine zusätzliche Befestigungsstift. Das Modell wiegt 210g.

An earlier 6x30 model, as one can assume, was also made in Japan (see pics 6-8), but by another maker – the logo shows a triangle with a dollar sign and behind that a bi-concave lens. The optics are coated blue. The inscriptions on the top cover are white. There is no further attachment at the bottom cover. This model weighs 210g.

Das 3. abgebildete Selsi 6x30 (Fotos 9-11) hat keinen Stativanschluss. Es hat hingegen eine Weichgummi Augenmuschel und eine Gummiarmierung am Objektiv. Der Korpus ist meit einem strukturiertem Kunststoff ummantelt. Der obere Deckel trägt das noch aktuell verwendete "Selsi" Schriftzeichen, darunter die Werteangabe mit einem Sehfeld von 7,5°. Außerdem ist mit "Japan J-B - 133" gekennzeichnet, wobei der JB-Code für "Kamakura Koki Co. Ltd." steht. Der untere Deckel ist mit der Nummer "084" gekennzeichnet und hat den JTII-Aufkleber. Es wiegt 228g.

The third depicted Selsi 6x30 (photos 9-11) has no tripod adapter, but a soft rubber eyecup and rubber armouring of the objective frame. The body is covered with some textured plastic. The top cover is marked with the contemporary Selsi script, followed by the specifications, also giving a field of view of 7.5°. It also says "Japan J-B - 133"; the JB code stands for "Kamakura Koki Co. Ltd.". The bottom cover is marked with number "084" and the JTII sticker is still in place. Weight is 228g.
