Seeadler 8x30

Hier ist ein 8x30 Monokular-Modell von "Seeadler Nürnberg". Es hat am Gehäuse eine Trageriemenöse und ein Stativgewinde, in das beim abgebildeten Exemplar eine Handtrageschlaufe geschraubt ist. Auf dem Deckel ist es als Weitwinkelmodell geknenzeichnet. Ein vorliegendes Exemplar "8x30 Weit Winkel" ohne Stativgewinde ist am oberen Deckel mit dem Seeadler-Logo und darin "Seeadler Nürnberg-16" und am unteren Deckel mit einem K in einem Dreieck sowie "FEld 10° Nr. 40360" gekennzeichnet. Die Dioptrienskala ist bis +2 und -4 markiert. Der Abdeckring am Objektiv fehlt. Ansonsten weist es die typischen Merkmale eines Porro-1-Monokulars in der Zeiss-Bauform auf. die vErgütung ist blau-violett.

Here is a 8x30 monocular distributed by "Seeadler Nuremberg" (= sea eagle). There is a cast-in strap lug and a tripod thread at the body. A carrying strap is screwed into the tripod thread on the specimen depicted here. It is denoted as a wide angle model on the top cover. Another surviving model without tripod thread is marked with the "Seeadler" logo and isncribed "Seeadler Nürnberg-16 8x30 Weit Winkel" (= wide angle) on the top cover, and marked with a K in a triangle as well as "Feld 10° Nr. 40360" on the bottom cover. The dioptre scale is marked from +2 to -4. The covering ring of the objective end is missing. Otherwise the monocular has all the classical features of a porro 1 glass with a Zeiss body style. The optics are coated blueish-violet.
