| Das 6x "Perplex" Modell von der "Optische Werke AG Cassel" – ehemals Carl Schütz & Co – zeichnet sich wie alle Perplex Modelle durch ein Porro-II-Modell in einem schlanken zylindrischem Korpus und einem konischen Objektivtubus aus. Dieser lässt sich mit der unterem Gehäuseplatte und dem Prismenstuhl abnehmen, wenn ein Überwurfgewindering abgeschraubt wird. Somit lässt sich der Prismenstuhl zur Reinigung relativ schnell entnehmen. Der obere Gehäusedeckel trägt die Inschrift "6x 'PERPLEX' Optische Werke A-G, Cassel, DRP.". Das Monokular hat ein Messingokular und -objektivfassung, ansonsten Aluminiumteile. Die Metallteile sind schwarzen lackiert, das Gehäuse und der Objektivtubus mit Leder ummantelt. Das Okularstück hat einen Dioptrienausgleich von +5 bis -5 sowie eine Bakelitaugenmuschel (fehlend). Am Gehäuse ist ein kleiner Bügel für den Trageriemen angeschraubt. Das Modell wurde vor dem 1. Weltkrieg gefertigt. Das Objektiv hat aber eine reale Öffnung von nur 28mm. | The 6x "Perplex" model by "Optische Werke AG Cassel" – former Carl Schütz & Co – features as all PErplex's do a cylindrical porro 2 prism housing and a conical objective tube. This latter plus the lower palkte and the attached prism chair can be pulled out, after usncrewing a retainer ring. So you can rather quickly open it for cleaning the prisms. The top cover is marked "6x 'PERPLEX' Optische Werke A-G, Cassel DRP.". The monocular comes with a brass eyepiece and objective frame while all other parts are made of aluminium. The metal parts are painted black, the body and objective tube are covered with leather. The eyepiece has a dioptre scale ranging from +5 to -5, and it has a Bakelite eyecup (missing). There is asmall lug screwed to the housing. The model was made before WWI. The objective has a real aperutre of only 28mm. |
