Schütz 12x36 Perplex

Dieses monokulare "Perplex" Modell der Fa. Optische Werke AG. Cassel –vorm. Carl Schütz & Co."– (s. oberer Deckel) zeichnet sich insbesondere durch das Porro-II-Prismensystem, welches auf eine Träger montiert ist (s. Foto) aus. Der Deckel ist mit "12x Perplex", der Firmenbezeichnung (s.o.) und "Germany D.R.P." beschriftet. Das Alugehäuse ist mit Leder ummantelt und besteht aus dem runden Prismengehäuse und dem konischen Objektivtubus. Das Glas ist ca. 16cm lang und wiegt 247g. Der Objektivdurchmesser ist laut PRospekt 36mm, in Wirklichkeit aber eher 34mm. Die Augenmuschel ist aus Bakelit.

This monocular "Perplex" model by "Optische Werke AG. Cassel" –formerly Carl Schütz & Co.– (s. top cover) is featured by its porro II system, which is mounted on a prism plate (s. pic of opened housing). The top cover is inscribed "12x Perplex", the producer's name (s. above) and "Germany D.R.P". The aluminium housing is covered with leather. It consists of a prism housing and a conical objective tube. The glass is ca. 16cm long and weighs 247g. Its objective diameter is 36mm according to the catalogue, but it is a real 34mm aperture. The eye-cup is made of Bakelite.
