Spindler & Hoyer 8x30 "Gowaro"

Das 8x30 Weitwinkel-Modell "Gowaro" von Spindler & Hoyer hat eine blau vergütete Optik, so dass es als Nachkriegsmodell iengestuft werden kann. Die Seriennummer 277454 befindet sich nun auch auf dem unteren Deckel. Der obere Deckel trägt den Firmenschriftzug, den Modellnamen und -spezifikationen sowie die KEnnzeichnung als "Weitwinkel". Beide Deckel sind einfach verschraubt und wie die Objektivfassung schwarz lackiert. Das Gehäuse mit eingegossener Trageöse hat eine Rauhlackummantelung. Das linksseitige Okular ist mit einer Kunststoffaugenmuschel ausgestattet und hat eine Dioptrienskala von + bis - 5.

The 8x30 wide angle mdoel "Gowaro" by Spindler & Hoyer has blue coated optics so that it must date from after WWII. Its serial number 277454 is marked on the lower cover plate now. The top cover is marked with the company's name, the model name, optical specifications as well as "Weitwinkel" (= wide angle).Both covers have only one screw and are lacquered black; so is the objective frame. The housing with its cast-in strap lug has some rough paint covering. The left-hand sided eyepiece has a plastic eyecup and a dioptre scale between + and - five.

Mit Trageriemen wiegt das "Gowaro" 220g. Es ist zwischen 108 und 116mm lang. Das Gehäuse ist oben 50x50mm bzw. unten 56x56mm breit. Der Objektivtubus ist 38mm, das Okular 27mm, der Fokussierungsteil und die Augenmuschel 31mm im Durchmesser.

The "Gowaro" weighs 220g with its strap. It is 108 to 116mm long. The housing measuring 50x50mm at its top and 56x56mm at its bottom. The objective frame is 38mm, the eyepiece is 27mm, the focusing part and the eyecup are 31mm in diameter.
