Spindler & Hoyer 6x24
| Das Spindler & Hoyer 6x24 Monokular wurde für die schwedische Armee gefertigt. Es hat eine Strichplatte mit einer horizontalen Einteilung von 0 bis 80. Der Lederköcher ist am Deckel mit dem Kronensymbol und "I9 2074" gestempelt. Der originale Gelbfilter in der Deckelinnenseite fehlt. Der obere Deckel (zweifch verschraubt) ist ebenfalls mit dem Kronensymbol und "Nr. 7591/1929" sowie "6x24" beschriftet. Der untere Deckel (einfach verschraubt) trägt das Firmenemblem und die Seriennummer 71511 (s. Fotos). Die Herstellungzeit dürfte ca. 1929 sein. Die Messingdeckel sind schwarz lackiert und der Korpus mit schwarzem Leder ummantelt. Das linksseitige Messingokular mit einer umlaufenden Dioptrienskala (+/-5) hat eine Bakelitaugenmuschel |
This Spindler & Hoyer 6x24 monocular was produced for the Swedish Army. It has got a graticule with a horizontal division from 0 to 80. The leather case's lid is stamped with the crown symbol and "I9 2074". The original yellow filter in the case's lid is missing. The top cover of the glass (2 screws) is also marked with the crown symbol and "Nr. 7591/1929" as well as "6x24". The bottom cover (1 screw) is inscribed with the producer's emblem and S/N 71511 (s. photos). Its date of production could be around 1929. The brass covers ar painted black. The housing is covered with black leather. The left-hand sided brass ocular has a dioptre scale all the way round being marked from + to - 5. The eye-cup is made of Bakelite. |
| Das Monokular wiegt 260g. Es ist 10-11cm lang, je nach Justierung. Das Gehäuse ist oben 49x49mm und unten 52x52mm breit. Die Objektivfassung ist 33,5mm und das Okular 30mm bzw. an der Augenmuschel 31,5mm im Durchmesser.
Andere mir vorliegende Exemplae haben am oberen Deckel Nr. 6873/1929 bzw. 8678/1929 und am unteren Deckel 70729 bzw. 72998. Auf dem Köcherdeckel ist ebenfalls die Nr. 8678, darüber hinaus die Stempelung mit I17, die sich in Schreibschriftgarvur auch am unteren Monokulardeckel befindet. Ein weiteres bei Ebay angebotenes 6x24 Monokular für die schwedische Armee hat die Nr. 6461. |
The monocular weighs 260g. It is 10 - 11cm in length, depending on adjustment. The housing is 49x49mm at its top and 52x52m at its bottom. The objective frame measures 33,5mm in diameter, the ocular 30mm, and the eye-cup 31,5mm.
Other 6x24 monoculars I have are marked Nr. 6873/1929 or 8678/1929 at the top cover plate and 70729 or 72998 at the bottom plate. The case lid also has number 8678, furthermore stamped "I17", a number which csi also engraved in script letters at the bottom cover plate. There was another 6x24 monocular for the Swedish Army offered on Ebay with number 6461. |
