Ruhnke 8x30 (ver. 2)

Da die Optik des 8x30 vergütet ist muss dieses Monokular der Firma "Optiker Ruhnke" aus der Nachkriegsproduktion (50er/60er Jahre) stammen. Das Aluminiumgehäuse ist mit einem strukturierten Hartkunststoff ummantelt, die einfach verschraubten Deckel und Metallteile schwarz lackiert. Die Augenmuschel ist aus schwarzem Plastik. Es gibt eine Trageriemenöse und eine umlaufende Dioptrienskala, markiert bei + und -5, am linksseitigen Okular. Der obere Deckel ist mit "Optiker Ruhnke" bogenförmig um die Initialen OR sowie "8x30" beschriftet; ein weiteres Modell ist zusätzlich mit "GROSSFELD" beschriftet, und ist eine Weitwinkelvariante.

As the optics are coated blue this 8x30 monocular must date from a post-war production (1950s-60s) by the maker "Optiker Ruhnke" in Berlin. The aluminium housing has some textured hard plastic/rubber covering. The cover plates having one screw are painted black. The eyecup was made of black plastic. There is a strap lug and a dioptre scale all around the left-hand sided eyepiece being marked at + and - 5. The top cover plate is inscribed "Optiker Ruhnke" bending over the initials OR, and furthermore "8x30". Another blue coated model is also marked "GROSSFELD" (= wide field) and is a wide angle version.

Das Monokular ist 112 - 118mm lang, das Gehäuse 51x51mm oben und 56x56mm unten breit, das Okular hat einen 28mm, die Augenmuschel einen 34mm und die Objektivfassung einen 42mm Durchmesser. Es wiegt 204g (Das Großfeldmodell 229g).

The monocular is 111 - 118mm tall, the housing measures 51x51mm at its top and 56x56mm at its bottom. The ocular has a diameter of 28mm, the eyecup one of 34mm, and the objective frame one of 42mm. The monocular weighs 204g (Wide angle model 229g.).
