Ross 9x35 Stepic
| Das 9x35 Monokular von Ross, London mit der Bezeichnung "Stepic" ist wahrscheinlich ein Vorkriegsmodell. Mit 427g (inkl. Trageriemen) ist es recht schwer. Die Augenmuschel ist aus Kunststoff und der Dioptrienausgleich geht von + bis - 5 mit einer umlaufenden Skala. Die Gehäuseteile sind aus schwarz lackiertem Messing und die Ummantelung ist aus Rauhlack. Die Gesamtlänge des Glases ist 13,4 - 14,8cm je nach Okulareinstellung. Das Okularteil mit einem 1,7 breiten geriffelten Drehring hat eine Durchmesser von 35mm. Der Objektivtubus ist 45mm im Durchmesser. Das Gehäuse ist oben 56x56mm und unten 63x63mm. Die Deckel sind einfach verschraubt. Der Okular-seitige Deckel ist mit "ROSS, London No.105437 Power = 9 'Stepic'" beschriftet. Die Gravur scheint, wie bei Zeiss Gläsern, mit Silberlot ausgelegt zu sein. |
This 9x35 monocular by ROSS London, model name "Stepic" dates from before WWII. It is quite heavy, weighing 427g including the strap. The eye-cup is made of plastic. The dioptre adjustment ranges from + to - 5 with a scale running around the ocular. The body parts are made of black lacquered brass, and the body has a rough paint covering. The length of the glass is 13.4 - 14.8cm depending on ocular adjustment. The eyepiece with its knurled part (1.7cm wide) has a diameter of 35mm. The objective tube is 45mm in diameter. The housing measures 56x56mm at its top and 63x63mm at its bottom. The covers have one screw only. The top cover is marked "ROSS, London No.105437 Power = 9 "Stepic"". The engraving seems to be filled with silver solder, as the older Zeiss glasses were. |

Das 304g schwere Modell ist mit Rauhlack ummantelt. Es hat einen kurzen (30mm) konischen Objektivtubus, der sich von 43mm auf 50mm erweitert. Die Kunststoffaugenmuschel ist 37mm, der Okulartubus 33mm, der Fokussierungsring 39mm im Durchmesser. Das Gehäuse misst oben 58x58mm und unten 62x62mm. Als Besonderheit kann gelten, dass es zwei angegossene Trageriemenösen hat. | The 9x35 post-war model is labeled "Stepic 9x35, Ross London, Made in England" on the top cover.
