Ross 6x50

Dies ist ein seltenes 6x50 Monokular von Ross London, welches mit einem Abbe-König-Prisma ausgestatet ist. Demenstprechend hat es einen etwas länglichen zylindrisches Prismengehäuse als dies im Fall anderer Prismensysteme notwendig wäre. Das am oberen dreifach verschraubten Deckel gravierte Ross London Logo ("RL" Initialien) ist unüblich und nimmt evtl. Bezug auf das bei Ross neu entwickelte Modell mit anderen Prisma, obwohl dies nicht dem Abbe-König, sondern eine Art Pentaprisma entspricht. Die Seriennummer ist 88089. Die Produktionszeit müsste in den 1920er liegen (vgl. a. Seeger 2010, S. 642ff.). Die Aluminium-Gehäuseteile sind schwarz lackiert oder mit schwarzem Leder bezogen. Es hat eine ausziehbare Sonnenblende. Im Objektivtubus sind verschiedene Ringe als Streulichtblenden eingebaut. Here is a rare 6x50 Ross London monocular, which has an Abbe-Koenig prism. Es gibt ein passendes hellbraunes Lederfutteral mit der Ross-Firmenbeschriftung und -adresse innen am Deckel. Der Deckel udn der Boden sind mit einer Herstellermarke, vermutlich einer Rose, gestempelt. It comes with a matching light brown case with Ross maker's marks and address on the inside of the lid. The top and bottom cover of the case are stamped with a meker's mark, most likely a rose.
