Reichert Wien 6x25

Die Firma Reichert Wien ist vor allem für ihre Mikroskope bekannt, daher ist ein Monokular eher ein sehr seltenes optisches Gerät aus der Werkstätte. Das vorliegende Exemplar hat die Werte 6x25. Es hat schwarz lackierte Deckel, eine eingegossene Trageriemenöse, eine schwarze Rauhlackummatnelung und eine Bakelitaugenmuschel. Die komplett umlaufende Dioptrienskala ist bei Null und jeweils Fünf markiert. Der obere Deckel ist mit "C. Reichert Wien | 6xVergr. | No 78" graviert und mit Silberlot eingelegt, der untere Deckel ist weiß beschriftet mit 1876-1916 in einem länglichen Oval. 1876 ist das Jahr der Firmengründung, 1916 wird das Produktionjahr sein. Diese dAtierung und die Kennzeichnung mit "Vergr." spricht für die Herstellung im 1. Weltkrieg, vermutlich für das Militär gefertigt.

The Reichert Wien Company became well-known for its microscopes. So, a monocular is rather a rare optical item by them. The monocular here is a 6x25 model. It has black lacquered cover plates, a cast-ins trap lug, a black crinkle finish and a Bakelite eyecup. The full dioptre scale is marked at zero and five. The top cover is inscribed "C. Reichert Wien | 6xVergr. | No 78" and filled with silver solder, the bottom cover is marked in white with a stretched oval nad "1876-1916" inside this. 1876 is the4 company foundation year, 1916 may be the production year at that time. This date and the "Vergr." writing hints to a WWI production, presumably for the military.

Das 6x24 ist 99-105mm lang, die Objektivfassung ist 34mm, das Okularstück 20mm, der Fokussierungsring 23,5mm und die Augenmuschel 33mm im Durchmesser. Das Gehäuse ist oben 43x45mm und unten 49x51mm breit. Das Modell wiegt 212g.
