Nickel 20x40

Dies ist ein 20x40 Monokular mit Stativgewinde und ausziehbarem Blendschutz der Fa. Nickel aus Marburg. Es hat ein Porroprismensystem und vergütete Optiken. Das Gehäuse hat eine Rauhlackummantelung und eine eingegossene rechteckige Trageöse. Das drehbare Okular ist eine metallene 3/3 Augenmuschel ohne Dioptrienskala. Der obere Deckel zeigt ein Linsenlogo, einen Achromaten, darin "Nickel Marbirg" unter darunter 20x40 sowie Seriennummer 123264. Beide Deckel sind einfach verschraubt. Das Glas wiegt 302g, und ist aufgrund seiner schlanken Form recht handlich: das Gehäuse ist oben 50x50mm und unten 54x54mm, der 11cm lange Objektivtubus verbreitert sich von 42 auf 48mm. Das Okularstück ist 24mm, der Fokussierungring 28mm im Durchmesser. Das Monokular hat eine Gesamtlänge zwischen 213 und 230mm; bei ausgezogenem Blendschutz verlängert sich diese um 36mm.

This is a 20x40 monocular with tripod thread and extendable ray-shade made by Nickel in Marburg, Germany. It has a porro prism system and coated optics. The housing has a crinkle paint covering and a cast-in rectangualar strap lug. The turnable ocular part consists of a 3/3 metal eyecup without any dioptre markings. The top cover is inscribed with a lens logo of an achromat, "Nickel Marburg" therein, and below 20x40 as well as serial number 123264. Both covers have one screw. The glass weighs 302g, and due to its slender shape it is very handy. So the prism body is 50x50mm at tis top and 54x54mm at its bottom. The 11cm long concial objective tube widens from a 42mm to a 48mm diameter. The eyepiece 24mm, the focusing part 28mm in diameter. OVerall length varies between 213 and 230mm, adding 36mm when the sun-shade is extended.
