Monex 8x25

Das "Monex 8x25" ist ein Porro-1-Monokular aus dem ersten Viertel des 20. Jh. Der untere Deckel ist mit dem "broad arrow" und der Britischen Kontrrollnummer S.1 M.6957 graviert. Der obere Deckel hat ein Logo mit einem 90 Grad Prisma (evtl. E.R: Watts & Son), darüber der Schriftzug "Monex" und darunter "x8", daneben No. 1221 sowie ein großes "G".
Das Gehäuse hat eine mit Maserung strukturierte Hartgummiummantelung und eine angeschraubte Trageriemenöse. Das rechtsseitige Okular hat eine umlaufende Dioptrienskala und eine Augenmuschel aus Bakelit, oder ebenfalls Hartgummi. Es gibt eine Strichplatte mit 5 Teilungen links und rechts von Null (keine Nummernbeschriftung).

The housing comes with a textured ebonite covering and a screwed-on strap lug. the right-hand sided eyepiece has got a full dioptre scale and an eyecup made of Bakelite or ebonite. There is a reticle with 5 division lines to the left and right of zero (no numbers).
