Mignon 8x30

Das "Mignon Telephoto Attachment 8x30" wurde von "Fuji Kogei Sha" in Tokio gefertigt. Es ist ein sehr kleines Fotomonokular, ungefähr in der Größe des Zeiss 8x30B. Der obere einfach verschraubte DEckel ist mit "Color Corrected Super - Patent Pend - Made in Jaüpan" sowie der Seriennummer beschriftet. Folgende Seriennumemr leigen vor: 45584 und 46047. Das Porro-1 Gehäuse hat eine eingegossene Trageriemenöse und ist mit einem anthrazit farbenem Hartgummiüberzug ummantelt. Das linksseitige Okulartstück hat einen aufgeschraubten Justierring mit Feststellschraube, zur Montage an einer Kamera. Auf das 33,5mm GEwinde des Okulars kann eine kegelförmige Plastikaugenmuschel geschraubt werden, wenn das Mignon als Monokular genutzt wird (7° Sehfeld). Die fokussierbare Objektifassung ist mit eoner Meter- und Fußskala gekennzeichnet: 6 - 60m, 20 - 150ft und bis unendlich. Auf dem Objektivtubus befindet sich ein Referenzpunkt. Der innere Abdeckring vor der Objektivlinse ist mit "Mignon Aux. Telephoto 8x30mm" beschriftet. Beim Exemplar mit Nr. 46047 ist die Objektivfassung etwas länger und bildet so ein 38mm Filtergewinde, beim anderen Exemplar schliesst die Objektivfassung mit dem Abedeckring und ohne Filtergewinde ab. Es gab aber Filter zum Einlegen in die aufsetzbare Sonnenblende (s.u.). Die Optik ist blau vergütet. The "Mignon Telephoto Attachment 8x30" was made by "Fuji Kogei Sha" in Tokyo. It is a rather small tlephoto monocular being the size of the Zeiss 8x30B. The single screw top cover plate is marked "Color Corrected Super - Patent Pend - Made in Jaüpan" plus the serial number. The following numbers are known: 45584 und 46047. The porro 1 body has a cast-in strap lug and aan anthracite coloured ebonite covering. The left-hand sided eyepiece has a screwed-on adjustment ring with a locking screw when attached to the camera. A cone shaped plastic eyecup can be screwed to the 33.5mm ocular thread, when the Mignon is used as a monocular (7° field of view). The focusable objective frame is marked with a metre and feet scalle: 6 - 60m, 20 - 150ft and to infinity. The objective tube is marked with a reference dot. The inner retainer ring in front of the objective lens is inscribed with "Mignon Aux. Telephoto 8x30mm". The nr. 46047 model has a slightly longer objective frame thus leavbing a 38mm filter thread, while the retainer ring on the other model ends with the frame rim. There were filters available that could be put in the screw-on sunahade (see below). The optics are coated blue.

Die Verkaufschachtel enthält einen fixierbaren Aufsteckring und darauf einschraubbare Sonnenblende - erhältliche Filter (Series VI) und Blenenscheiben konnten zwischen diese Teile eingelegt werden - sowie vier verschiedene Kameraadapterringe (32mm, 34mm, 43mm, 46mm). 18mm, 22mm und 26mm Blendenscheiben waren erhältlich. The sale box contains a slip-on ring which can be fixed with a screw annd serves to hold the screw-in ray-shade. Series VI Filters and 18mm, 22mm and 26mm diaphragm discs were available and could be put in between these two parts. THere are also four different adapter rings (32mm, 34mm, 43mm, 46mm).

Das 8x30 wiegt ca. 178g mit Augenmuschel ca. 185g (der Katalog gibt ein Gewicht von 210g an). Es ist 94-98mm lang. Das Gehäuse ist oben 49x52mm, unten 54x56mm breit. Der Objektivtubus ist 37mm, die Fassung 41mm im Durchmesser, das Okularstück 30mm, der Justierring 36mm und die Augenmuschel 35mm im Durchmesser. The 8x30 weighs ca. 178g with its eyecup ca. 185g (the catalogue states 210 grams). It is 94-98mm long. The housing is 49x52mm at its top, and 54x56mm at its bottom. The objective tube is 37mm, the frame 41mm in diameter, the eyepiece 30mm, the adjustment ring 36mm, and the eyecup 35mm in diameter.
