| Dieses 18x37 Monokular trägt die Modellbezeichnung "Lumex Mono" in einem Linsen- oder Prismenlogo, sowie die Vergrößerungsangabe "18x" auf dem oberen Deckel. Das Glas stammt vermutlich aus der Zeit um 1910. Die Bauart lässt auf ein deutsches oder französisches Fabrikat schließen. Die Bezeichnung "Mono" köntne außer für Monokular auch für die Magdeburger Photofirma "MONO-WERK Rudolf Chaste" stehen, da hier auch Ferngläser vertrieben wurden. Das rechtsseitige Okular hat eine Geradführung bei der Fokussierung. Das Gehäuse und der Objektivtubus sind nicht mehr ummantelt oder lackiert. Die Dioptrienskala reicht von + bis - 10. Die Augenmuschel ist aus Bakelit. | This 18x37 monocular is labeled on its top cover with model name "Lumex Mono" within a lens or prism shaped logo as well as "18x" for its power. The glass dates from around 1910 probably. The cosntruction features let assume it was made by a German or french maker. The inscription "Mono" could stand for "monocular" but also for the photo-company "MONO-WERK Rudolf Chaste" from Magedburg, as they also sold binoculars. The right-hand sided ocular jas a linear movement for focusing . The housing and the objective tube are not covered with leather or painted any more. The dioptre scale ranges from plus to minus ten. The eyecup ist made of Bakelite. |
