Limer 8x40

This Japanes 8x40 monocular with a field of view of 7° and coated optics is named "limer". The production number on the bottom prism cover is 49130. It is also marked "Made in Japan" and with a Japanese manufacturer sign which I don't know.
It weighs 256g, measures 14.5 - 15 cm depending on ocular adjustment (marked with plus/minus 2). The prism body is 5x5cm and 6.8cm tall. The conical objective tube is 42mm long, and increases from 4 to 5 cm.
The eye-cup is made of plastic. The ocular lens ist 17mm and the exit pupil 5mm in diameter. It can be considered as unusual that the ocular tube is only milled half way and has a smooth surface on the other half bearing the dioptre scale. The body is made of light metal with an anthracite coloured roughened finish.
