Bauweise der Sprenger-Leman-Prismen

Das Leman-Prisma ist aus einem Stück gefertigt und ermöglicht dadurch wenig Lichtverlust und die Verbreiterung des Abstandes zwischen Okular und Objektiv (dies ist bei plastischen Tiefeneindruck von Binokularen wichtig). Das Bild wird an der Dachkante (D) aufgerichtet. Die Schemazeichnungen (unten) verdeutlichen das Prinzip. Das zweite Bild mit dem geöffneten Möller "Theatour"-Monokular zeigt die Lage des Prismas (unter der Klemme) im Gehäuse. Das andere Foto ist vom Leman-Prisma des "Monoclair" (s. Monokular-Museum 'M').

Sprenger - Leman prism design

The Leman prism is made from one piece, and thus allows only less loss of light and expanding the distance between ocular and objective lenses (important for the spacial impression in binocular glasses). The image is turned upright at the rooftop (Dachkante = D). The diagram below shows the principal functioning . The second picture of the opened Moeller "Theatour" monocular shows the position of the prism (under the clamp) in the body. The other photo is the Leamn prism of the "Monoclair" (s. Monocular Museum 'M')
