Leitz Trinovid 10x40 NASA Monocular

Speziell nach Auftrag der NASA wurde für die Apollo-Missionen ein monokulares Trinovid 10x40 von Leitz hergestellt, das die komplette Fokussierungseinrichtung umfasste. Es wurde mit einer widerstandsfähigen Oberfläche beschichtet. Die S/N (Seriennummer) der vorliegenden Modelle ist 1004 bzw. 1005, darüber die P/N (Produktionsnummer) "SEB 12100078" sowie versetzt trechts darunter "303". Letzteres besagt, dass die Modifikation von Leitz vorgenommen wurde. Vorherige Versionen mit Nr. "-302" wurden von der NASA noch selbst modifiziert. Durch die Innenfokussierung war es auch luftdicht, staubdicht und gegen Eindringen von Feuchtigkeit geschützt. Das Sehfeld liegt bei 122m. Das NASA-Monokular ist das einzige Monokular mit Uppendahl-Prismen.

Especially made for and ordered by the NASA for their Apollo missions Leitz produced a Trinovid 10x40 monocular version which comprised the whole focusing system. It was made with a special anodised finish, and due to its internal focusing could be kept airtight, dust and moisture resistant. The serial numbers (S/N) of the known models are 1004 and 1005 plus a production number (P/N) "SEB 12100078" as well as "-303" on the right below. The latter denotes that the modification of this version was made by Leitz. Previous versions with no. -302 were modified by the NASA itself. Its field of view is 122m. The monocular is about 143mm tall. The NASA monocular is unique also in the way that it has an Uppendahl prism.

Das Monokular ist ca. 143mm lang. Es wiegt 294g. Die Brückenplatte ist ca. 45x45mm breit.Das Okularstück hat einen Durchmesser von 31mm, das Objektivstück von 48mm. Das Fokussierungsrad ist 21mm im Durchmesser.

The monocular is about 143mm long. It weighs 294g. The bridge plate is ca. 45x45mm wide. The eyepiece has a 31mm diameter, the objective tube has a 48mm diameter. The focussing wheel is 21mm in diameter.
