Leitz 8x30 Monux

Das Monux 8x30 ist blau vergütet und stammt somit aus den 50er Jahren des 20. Jh. Es hat einen passenden Lederköcher mit der Firmenstempelung am Köcherboden. Der an der Gehäuseöse befestigte Trageriemen ist nicht mehr orignal. Der obere Gehäusedeckel trägt den Modellnamen, das Logo, die optischen Werte und die Seriennummer 493543.ein späteres Exemplar mit Seriennummer 609896 ist am unteren Deckel zusätzlich mit "Made in Germany" beshcirftet. Das Okular (34mm Durchmesser) hat eine Plastikaugenmuschel und eine umlaufende Dioptrienskala mit Kennzeichnung von + bis - 5. Das Gehäuse misst oben 5x5cm bzw. unten 5,5x5,5cm bei einer Länge von 11 bis 11,6cm. Der Objektivtubus ist 41mm im Durchmesser. Das Glas wiegt 234g.

The Monux 8x30 is coated blue, and dates from about the 50s of last century. It comes with a fitting leather case stamped with the firm's logo etc. at its bottom. The strap fixed to the lug is not original any more. The top cover of the housing is marked with the model name, the logo, the optical data and the S/N 493543. Another later model with the serial number 609896 is additionally inscribed "Made in Germany" on the lower cover. The eyepiece (34mm in diameter) has a plastic eye-cup a dioptre scale all around the ocular marked from + to - 5. The housing is 5x5cm at tis top and 5.5x5.5cm at its bottom being 11 to 11.6cm in length. The objective tube's diameter is 41mm. THe glass weighs 234g.
