Leitz "Monol" 6x24

Das Leitz 6x24 Modell "Monol" ist am oberen Deckel außer mit dem Leitz-Logo nur mit 6x beschriftet, ist also eine Produktion vor dem 1. Weltkrieg. Der untere Deckel hat die Seriennummer 20455 sowie einen Besitzernamen "David". Der passende Lederköcher ist am Deckel mit "F.D.L.A." gestempelt. Das Gehäuse mit eingegossener Öse ist mit einem strukturiertem Hartgummi ummantelt, die Messingdeckel und -teile schwarz lackiert. Der obere Deckel ist mit 3, der untere mit 2 Schrauben befestigt. Die Augenmuschel am rechtsseitigen Okular ist aus Bakelit. Das Monol ist 102-111mm lang, das Gehäuse 43x43mm bzw. 47x47mm breit und das Okularstück ist 24mm, das Fokussierungsstück ist 28mm und die Augenmuschel 34mm im Durchmesser. Der Objektivtubus ist 32mm im Durchmesser. Das Monokular wiegt 215g.

The Leitz 6x24 model "Monol" is marked only with "6x" besides the Leitz logo on the top cover. So, it dates from before WWI. The bottom cover bears the serial number 20455 as well as its owner's name "David". The matching case is stamped with "F.D.L.A." on its lid. The housing has a cast-in lug and is covered with some textured Ebonite. The brass cover plates and other parts are lacquered black. The top cover has three, the bottom cover two screws. The eyecup on the right-hand sided eyepiece is made of Bakelite. The Monol is 102-111mm long, the housing measures 43x43mm and 47x47mm, and the eyepiece is 24mm, the focusing piece 28mm, and the eyecup 34mm in diameter. The objective tube is 32mm in diameter. The monocular weighs 215g.
