Krombach + Lust 8x30

Das 8x30 ist ein vergütetes Porro-1-Monokular in der üblichen Bauweise. Die Deckel sind aus Aluminium, einfach verschraubt und schwarz lackiert. Der obere Deckel ist mit "Krombach+Lust Wetzlar 8x30 100339" beschriftet. Es ist also von Krombach Optik aus Wetzlar hergestellt, und offensichtlich mit der Markenbezeichnung "Krombach-Lust" - unter diesem Name mit Modellbezeichnung "Turnier" (vgl. Eschenbach Modelle) z.B. in einem Vertreiberprospekt der Fa. Galloways Ltd. (Birmingham, UK) aus den 1960ern. Die Dioptrienskala am linksseitigen Okular läuft rundherum, die Augenmuschel ist aus Plastik.

This 8x30 is a coated porro 1 glass with a usual design. The covers are made of aluminium, have one screw, and are painted black. The top cover is marked "Krombach+Lust Wetzlar 8x30 100339". So, the monocular was made by Krombach Optik in Wetzlar, obviously under the trade name "Krombach-Lust", and distributed under this name with model designation "Turnier" (cf. Eschenbach models) by Galloways Ltd., Birmingham in the 1960s. The dioptre scale on the left-hand sided eyepiece runs fully around the tube. The eyecup is made of plastic.

Das 8x30 wiegt 237g mit dem Trageriemen. Es ist 115-123mm lang und oben am Gehäuse 50x50mm und unten 54x54mm breit. Der Objektivtubus ist 39mm, das Okularstück ist 29mm und der Fokussierungsteil sowie die Augenmuschel sind 35mm im Durchmesser.

The 8x30 weighs 237g including its strap lug. It is 115-123mm long, and measures 50x50mm at the top and 54x54mm at the bottom of its housing. The objective tube is 39mm, the eyepiece is 29mm, and the focusing ring as well as the eyecup are 35mm in diameter.
